Things I’d Buy at the Ulta Flash Sale

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

As you know Ulta is having a massive Flash Sale today! One day only with some outstanding savings on some great brands!

If you’re having a hard time deciding what to indulge in, because there’s a lot, I thought I’d highlight some items worth picking up.

Up first, I’d totally haul the Tarte Make Magic Happen Eyeshadow Palette (Review). I personally loved this palette. The shadows are soft, silky, and it takes really minimal effort to apply them. They aren’t packed with pigment but they are perfect for natural looks.

The entire range of Real Technique Brushes are on sale and I’d totally go in for a purchase of the Blend + Blur Brushes (Review)! I really liked these. They are a cheaper Artis dupe with firm yet soft bristles that blend makeup flawlessly into skin!

Real Technique Blend + Blur Brush Collection

I haven’t reviewed it yet on the blog but Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal & Contour is well worth picking up! This is like a creamy hydrating version of Tarte Shape Tape but with a little less coverage! At under $5 it’s worth splurging on if you’re a concealer junkie!

The entire Lottie London Collection is on sale which is great but one item that sticks out is their cute Blush Crush Powder Blusher (Review) which I reviewed a few months ago and quite liked! At $3.29 you can’t really beat this price to haul a few shades!

I really miss Sephora’s Cushion Foundation but Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation SPF 15 holds up pretty well against it and at $5 it’s well worth checking out!

Popular K-Beauty brand, Too Cool for School is also on sale and there are quite a few items worth indulging in! If you have drier skin the Egg Cream Mask Hydration Set ($14 for 5 Masks) is worth indulging in as well as the Egg Mellow Cream ($21).

It’s still very much Summer so if you’re looking for some sheer, lightweight coverage I’d totally recommend Renewed Hope In A Jar Skin Tint (Review) which is on sale for 20% Off. It’s quite a nice lovely, sheer wash of color that evens out skin tone, brightens, and provides light coverage.

The sale is pretty darn overwhelming and it’s a shame it’s only for one day as I need a day just to make up my wish list 😉

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. Thanks for the tip. Second your recs…already took them…on blush crush: excellent, the MUR concealer (got 3 in C3, C5, C7 can cover all seasons.) tcfs is always welcome. And during extra points, why not?

It is overwhelming! Been scrolling through all the pages while I’m at work 😉
Plus, they got me with$35 shipping threshold which helps. Did get some “staples” that I needed, like my beloved Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Mask.
Also helps they have 3x points for Platinum right now.

I put 8 items in my cart to think it over, and an hour later my cart had automatically reduced to 6 because items were selling out! I didn’t break the bank, but I’m pretty happy with my small haul. Definitely got the Wet n Wild cushion foundation (I really want to try it!) and the MUR concealer! I also got one of MUR’s stick foundations, I hope it’s alright.

I wasn’t going to order, but then a police incident made my work day quite stressful. Grabbed the Makeup Revolution concealer, Sophie X palette, the Real Techniques set for skincare, three Freeman masks, and a few other things lol. I hit Diamond level. Oops. But I forgot the Wet n Wild Cushion. Boo. Oh well, I’ve been loving the CosRx one.

haha sometimes we need a little shopping to get us through a stressful day!

I had a really tough time narrowing down my haul to just the “essentials” (plus a cheap item or two to try so that I would reach the $60 mark for the awesome free Tarte gift set!!!):

    1. Two-pack of Skin&CO Truffle Therapy Toner – I love this stuff! It’s expensive for toner, so I only buy when it’s on sale. Getting the two-pack saved a little more per bottle than just buying one as well!

    2. Maybelline City Mini Palette on Blushed Avenue – This new one wasn’t on sale last time, so I was pumped to be able to snag it at a discount this haul!

    3. Noonie Deep Cleanse Snowflake Stick Cleanser – I’m lazy, so I love the thought of stick skincare products. This is cheap (not on sale) and I’ve been dying to try it, do this seemed as good a time as any!

    4. Lime Crime Plushies Liquid Lipstick in Honey Lavender – I love Lime Crime (though I’m not sure I actually own any of their stuff atm) and this color looks like it’ll be a great addition to my lipstick collection 🙂

    5. Hask Biotin Boost Thickening Conditioner – Always looking to pump up my hair game!

    6. Marc Anthony Grown Long Caffeine Ginseng Conditioner – I’m a caffeine addict, so products with caffeine and ginseng always call my name.

    7. L.A. Girl Lip Primer – I really want to find a lip primer that I like. So far I’ve only tried ColourPop’s and it didn’t mesh well with my lip products.

    8. FREE TARTE GIFT!!!!! – Honestly, I only wanted this for the eyeliner (I’m obsessed with self-sharpening eyeliners). The two other products will probably be resold or given away as extras.

I really wanted to get one of the Smashbox eyeshadow trios, but I’m trying to hold back since I’m already planning on getting the Too Faced Razzle Dazzle palette when the Tutti Frutti collection drops, and there are about four other palettes on my wishlist as well!

  • Goat Farmer CNDC

I hauled four of the Laura Geller kits that were 50% off! I like that LG is a drama-free, totally underhyped brand and I’m so happy to get these deals.
