Urban Decay Available at QVC

Urban Decay Go Naked Perfume Oil

Urban Decay is now available at QVC which completely boggles my mind. I dunno why but I was sort of surprised to see this but looking at it from a business point it makes complete sense. You see, some beauty brands are starting to run out of fan resources. They have pretty much dominated all forms of social media and have gathered huge followings via these platforms. At this point they may have even tired out some of their fans on these platforms so the next logical step is to move to a new outlet. That outlet being QVC.

Many of you already shop QVC and you’re fans of Urban Decay already but I think QVC has a fan base that hasn’t yet discovered the brand or maybe never tried it and this offers a new point of sale realm for Urban Decay in my opinion.

This also offers an entirely other realm for fans of the brand as perhaps they’ll be great sets that are offered as a Today’s Special Value or easy pay options (that I fondly call beauty mortgages) which allow you to pay for purchases over time.

Too Faced has long since been a brand offered on the Home Shopping Network but this is the first time Urban Decay has ventured into this world. I’m curious to see how they’ll do.

What do you think of Urban Decay becoming available at QVC?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Agree, from the business perspective of reaching a yet pseudo-untapped market. My old BFF, who may be 80, has always used the home shopping networks: furterer, adrien arpel, etc. I usually am looking for s.t. specific, so even if it is available home shopping (like Marilyn Miglin fragrance) I use the dedicated .com. I guess as an older consumer, i’m the target market, but I already have full access to UD, so, why homeshop and not actually see it? If s.t. I want googles as homeshopping, I might, but only as a last resort. But for business expansion, makes total sense. There are actually people who leave their TVs on homeshopping 24/7. Maybe they’ll fall in love with UD.

A lot of my mother’s friends use home shopping networks as well and some of these brands are utterly new to them. it’s sort of an untapped market in some ways! I think the benefit of having it on a home shopping could be easy pay for some consumers as well as better deals in terms of sets and special values. But aside from that being a UD fan I’d likely not look to qvc for my purchases either!

It is a good idea. Too faced and Benefit cosmetics are on HSN and they have values and kits not sold on their websites

A billion years ago, UD used to be on QVC. I remember ordering one of their original Face Cases when they came out, but then canceling it, because I found someplace else to get it cheaper or faster or something, IDK. I can’t remember if I ordered anything else UD from them though. Smashbox, Tarte, and some other brand, yes, but not UD.

I love buying beauty on the shopping channels- they offer deals you are just not going to find at retail! Bobbi Brown is on the Q so I am happy to see Urban Decay in the fold. I will be very curious to see what deals they offer.
