Urban Decay Elements Eyeshadow Palette Channeling Wet n Wild

Calling all element and zodiac fans the new Urban Decay Elements Eyeshadow Palette is channeling Wet n Wild’s recent Zodiac Collection with this new 19-pan eyeshadow palette that contains all new shades.

Inspired by the constellation this new palette contains 18 eyesahdows with multidimensional pigments as well as an iredescent transformer shade called Luna. It launches September 10 on urban Decay’s website and in Urban Decay stores and will pop up at Sephora and Ulta hopefully soon after.

I guess goodbye unicorns and mermaids and hello the zodiac, constellations, and the elements.

What do you think of the Urban Decay Elements Eyeshadow Palette?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Pretty, but I only see three mattes, so as usual it’s too sparkly for me. Don’t know why they couldn’t make most of them mattes since it includes a shimmery topper, like IT Cosmetics did with its eyeshadow palettes. That way you can wear the colors matte or sparkly. Oh well, money saved.

p.s. Wonder how this will compare to their recent Born To Run?

Yeah! I was so hoping for a new and exciting UD palette. I’ve been saving my Ulta points just for something like this! I say bring it on. At least they are all new shades and they are not all peach!
And even better, the palette is dominated by shimmers and metallics. YES!

I LOVE the packaging and the logo for the collection, but I’m going to try my best to resist. As someone who already has 3 different Vice palettes and last year’s Heavy Metal palette among my stash of 10+ UD palettes, I think there’s just going to be too much overlap to justify, unless the quality is superb.

(A lot of these shades also remind me of the Too Faced unicorn palette, which is surprisingly one of my favorites of the year so far!

It reminds me of the BH cosmetics zodiac palette…. Kind of odd to see UD following a trend! Looks like a pretty collection of shades, and more in line with their pre-Naked aesthetic…but, it also looks like it might be difficult to put together a full look– not enough transition shades, and too many medium to dark sparkly shades. Same reason why I didn’t buy Born to Run. But at least it’s pretty and interesting!

When I was a kid our local pharmacy used to sell round eyeshadow and lipgloss palettes which came in CD cases. They were the coolest thing as a 12 year old and I was so thrilled when I finally got one. This takes me back to that, in a really nice way, but for some reason my initial feeling was still “no”. I can’t put my finger on why but at first glance I just don’t dig this one at all. I’m waiting for swatches out of interest though, I want to see how these shades look!
