E.L.F. Opposites Attract Eyeshadow Palette Evokes the Spirit of Urban Decay

The new E.L.F. Opposites Attract Eyeshadow Palette ($14) might just evoke the spirit of Urban Decay Born to Run for ya! It did for me a little! Filled with eighteen eyeshadow shades this palette takes on cooler and warmer shades that come an array of neutral and vibrant colors!

It’s already taking the Internet by storm but I’m actually a little meh on it? I’m not sure I absolutely need this one but I can see why everyone is excited about it as it does have a good deal of cooler vibrant shades and isn’t your standard nude palette that brand’s keep introducing. I’m just one of those boring people that tilts my head, looks at it, and gets confused about the color pairings of nudes and purples. I mean obviously the two likely won’t be used together but it throws me for a loop having them in the same palette.

I’m obviously way to matchy matchy! I also felt the same way about the Born To Run Palette when it launched (which I have a sneaky little inkling will hit the sale rack soon).

Count me surprised the E.L.F. Opposites Attract Eyeshadow Palette hasn’t already sold out!

What do you think of it?

P.S. I’m busy heading into Fall and Holiday 2018 launches are popping but did you notice they weren’t really leaked early this year? Things have been very hush hush up until today when things starting to get a little busier. Last year, I remember many Holiday launches being ruined well before September! I walked into a store last week and they had Christmas Trees up already so why not Holiday Makeup Collections too!?

I have to admit I do miss the days when Holiday was launched really late in October! Just give me a chance to enjoy Pumpkin Spice everything please!?!?!?

BTR on its way to discount? I thought it was perm, and that early or even later sale primarily applied to LE, or things that have been around, but we’re being d/c’d like electric and now, naked one. Very few things continue at the original price, after a temporary markdown, other than planned sale or onto prices. But, wtf, none of the rules you think….apply any more.

I just got the email of this palette. I really like it and have it in my cart. Will you be getting this Muse? The price is great compared to other palettes.

To me, this looks like a mashup of Too Faced White Peach and ABH Norvina with a sprinkling of ABH Subculture…

I agree about the Born to Run similarity. I also agree with your suspicion that Born will be on sale soon. I purposely waited to buy it because I, too, think it’ll be on sale here shortly. Then I shall pounce on it. 😉
