Kat Von D Current Crush Glimmerize Liquistick Eyeshadow for Spring 2019 launched at Sephora.com today and I’d like to express how disappointed I am they only did it in two shades. Why bother? I’d love to see these in a few different shades as they look damn interesting!

Shaped like a lipstick these glitter eyeshadow sticks provide a cool, refreshing feel on lids and give a burst of glitter color that promises to last forever.

I guess the reason there are only two shades is because they are part of the “Current Crush” Collection which is a one time, limited release product that Kat’s lab discovered and fell in love but only created small batches of. Crushes drop from the brand every few months. According to the brand, “once they’re gone, they’re gone”. I’ve found Kat Von D’s “very limited” marketing for their products to be a crock of _____________(fill in the blank). I’m over the makeup FOMO and most brands seem to be weaning themselves away from creating a frenzy for limited edition releases. Obviously, Kat is one of the few brands that didn’t get the memo about “limited edition ALL the things!” Ironically most of her “super limited edition” launches have ended up on clearance. Ok, rant over. Sorry!

All that being said I think these sound pretty interesting! I do like the idea of swiping on a quickie sparkly look!

Kat Von D Current Crush Glimmerize Liquistick Eyeshadow is available now!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I want to try twighlight the Smokey gray I’ll pass on the garnet color box reds don’t translate well for me. I look sick. I may take my chances and see if it goes on sale as mentioned. I’m with you on the disappointment of only two colors, more options would be nice especially if it’s a great formula…. le sigh

It feels like these are just copying multiple other brands at this point, so I don’t see any valid strategy in making it such a limited release. I love stick eyeshadow so I’d probably bite if they had more compelling colors, or at least more choices.

My Sephora has had a space for these for the past 3 weeks but no product. Very dissapointed.
