Lancome Monochromatic Eyeshadow Have Plenty of Lucky Red Shades To Celebrate the Lunar Year!

The new Lancome Monochromatic Eyeshadow Collection for Spring 2019 has plenty of gorgeous, lucky red shades to ring in the Lunar Year with. I am forever, always obsessed with red eyeshadow! I sometimes feel like a lot of brands TRY to get it right but end up going with more cranberry shades or rose. For example, I was hyped about the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette but it turned into more a rosy cranberry selection of shades versus any real cherry or true red shades. Sad sigh!

Looks like Lancome is tackling the shade well though with some of these new Monochromatic Eyeshadows! If promo images are to be trusted the shade Soiree is a deep, rich crimson red.`

Along with brilliant shades this formula sounds amazing too since it acts as a cream-to-powder which can be applied not only on eyes but also on lips and cheeks too with a lightweight texture a cushy feel that has a matte finish. They sound intriguing! I haven’t tried them yet but sounds like fingers are only the tools you need for quick and easy application!

Lancome Monochromatic Eyeshadow is available now for $25 each!

What do you think of these shades and this formula?

The presentation certainly looks pretty. LOL! The rose embossing with a red toned eyeshadow encassed in sleek black packaging certainly has me tempted. Haha!

The shades are to die for but not the price. I can’t justify paying $25 for an eyeshadow single.

I just don’t get why more cosmetic lines don’t like to offer eyeshadow options in red. I have a true red shade from Etude House (it seems asian brands don’t shy away from intense pinks and reds!) and I think It looks fantastic! It’s one of my favorite shades and I always get complements when I wear it. But when you search beauty mags on red eye looks the general consensus seems to be that it’s a bad idea and makes your eyes look blood shot? seems like a bunch of BS to me. I suspect eye safe red pigments are pricey and that may be why we don’t see more of them from western brands.
