4 stars out of 5

Ulta Juicy Jelly Lipgloss ($8) is a new and brilliant little sheer lipgloss pot that’s available in three shade selections which launched for Spring 2019. This reminds me so much of Korean jelly lipglosses like Etude House Lip Perfume but it’s so much easier to get and no waiting for airmail!

Yes!

Plus it’s Winter and it’s COLD in New York at the moment. I got home from California last week and I’m still trying to adjust to this ridiculous cold. I swear when I left it was NOT this bad and suddenly I feel like I live in Alaska! It’s just a deep freeze. Needless to say my lips are not happy. Chapped, dry, and flaky!

Ulta Juicy Jelly Lipgloss to the rescue!

Ulta Juicy Jelly Lipgloss is pretty much kicking it old school packaging wise as this little guy arrives in a 0.19 oz plastic pot. Pretty simple but most makeup lovers, myself includes, will be wrinkling their nose in disgust. I’m not really a fond fan of lipgloss pots as they aren’t exactly travel friendly never mind the germ factor! Gross.

That being said, you can pry this from my cold dead hands because I still love it. It’s pretty much a texture you’ll be very, very familiar with if you collect or use a lot of different Korean lip balms and pot glosses. It’s thick like jelly but melts down on contact with lips and provides a ton of shine and lovely moisturizing heaven on my lips! The texture is thick but not sticky nor tacky and has a subtle peachy flavor (or watermelon or coconut should you like)!

It looks amazing on top of lipstick or lipgloss as well since it adds a ton of shine. Sadly, it is sheer! It’s a delightful peach shade in the pot but none of that color translates to lips and it applies clear. But I’m all about the moisture and shine so I don’t mind the lack of color!

Ulta Juicy Jelly Lipgloss is perfect for those cold Winter days and nights when your lips need heavy moisture!

Where to buy

Ulta

Ulta Juicy Jelly Lipgloss is a new lipgloss that launched in three flavors for Spring 2019. This lipgloss arrives in a pot that holds 0.19 oz of product and will set you back $8. This is a thick, super shiny, and moisturizing lipgloss tha’s ideal for drier lips. I didn’t fee like the formula was tacky or sticky it is very thick with a subtle peach flavor. It applies clear.

Pros

  • Super glossy and moisturizing.
  • Affordable.

Cons

  • Packaging isn’t hygienic and makes it difficult to reapply throughout the day!

Not a fan of lip gloss pots either, but I trust your opinion when you say something is actually moisturizing, so as soon as my local Ulta restocks this sucker I’ll compromise and keep it at home near the sink to ensure I only use it when I’m able to wash my hands first!

that’s basically what I do ;-D and if I want to travel with it I just bring a lip brush! ;D Let me know whatcha think when you try!

This makes me long for Naturistics. Remember that brand and their pot glosses in the 1990s? I don’t know how that brand ever went under because their products were always fun and effective. I guess they may have been poorly managed in their last years?

I will give this a try as my lips are so chapped. Have you tried the lip oil from Chapstick? I can’t believe how much I am liking them. They are something I always use at home since they can be a little messy but they are really moisturizing and the colors are pretty.

nooo! I’ve been wanting to try but didn’t see it in stores! I’ll have to just order it online ;D

Love the peach tea lip oil but my local retailers have stopped carrying it. Which of the oils do you use and how do you like them? Still, in general I really like the ChapStick Total Hydration line, especially those with the madecassoside — they’re the only balms I’ve used up multiple times.
