4 stars out of 5

Flower Beauty Pop Fanatic Vinyl Lip ($9.99) is part of the brand’s new Spring 2019 Collection that launched early this year with new popping shades of eyeshadow!

Pop Fanatic Vinyl Lip is actually sort of a pretty good replacement for the more expensive Charlotte Tilbury Latex Love Long-Lasting Lip Gloss. I hesitated to call it a dupe since the formula is a bit thicker but in some ways the two products are very much alike. So, if you weren’t interested in shelling out the bucks for CT’s formula I’d say that Flower Beauty got you covered as these two products are a lot alike!

Flower Beauty Pop Fanatic Vinyl Lip is available in six shade selections and $9.99 each (or Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off at Ulta). The packaging is a squeeze tube but hidden inside is a doe-foot applicator for easy application! Each tube is 0.18 oz in size.

Flower Beauty Pop Fanatic Vinyl Lip Swatches (Zap)

According to Flower Beauty these have a mirror-like shine and provide opaque color on a single swipe. Just like Charlotte’s formula they end up not being mirror or vinyl-like at all. They are moisturizing with a very thick, creamy formula and more of a creamy formula versus a glossy one. Yes, that does disappoint me a bit and did so with Charlotte Tilbury’s formula as well! None the less, these are still really comfortable to wear. They lock lips in a nice hydration formula. Yes, they are thick but they sheer out considerably if you put a little elbow grease into the application. I like sliding the application over my lips a few times to get them to thin out a bit. The creamier texture applies easily on my drier lips with a smooth, even finish that’s more of a cream one than a glossy as I said but there is a tiny hint of shine if you’re really looking for it. As promised, the color is very pigmented and opaque on a single layer. I tried out the shade Zap which is a pretty nude blushing pink. They wear for a solid six hours without migrating, feathering, or color fading. There’s a bit of tackiness that’s about on par with a MAC Lipglass. They are not a lightweight lip product by any means but the do wear quite comfortably even though they are heavier in texture. I detected a faint sweet flavor and a subtle flower scent.

I was pretty darn impressed with these and felt very comfortable likening them to CT’s formula aside from the fact they MIGHT be a tiny bit thicker. But all in all, for ten bucks they are worth a pick up no doubt! The pigmentation, the wear time, the moisturizing feel, these have it all!

Do like!

Where to buy

Ulta

Flower Beauty Pop Fanatic Vinyl Lip is available in six shade selections each of which are $9.99 each. This formula promises a vinyl-like or glossy finish but I felt it was more a cream one. It has a super thick, creamy texture that was slightly tacky but quite moisturizing on my lips with a long wear of around six hours without feathering or fading. The lip color has excellent pigmentation with opaque coverage on a single year. It’s a very comfortable to wear formula that provided excellent long-wearing color!

Pros

  • Very pigmented.
  • Moisturizing.
  • Affordable.
  • Smooth, even finish with a long wear!

Cons

  • Limited shade range.
  • Not glossy or vinyl-like in finish as promised.

Who

Flower Beauty Pop Fanatic Vinyl Lip isn’t quite as glossy as promised but this one ticks off all the marks for an excellent lip color! Pigmentation, long wear, creamy, and easy to apply! Definitely worth a look at if you like a liquid lip color that wears comfortably and long!
