5 stars out of 5

Goodal Black Salt Deep Cleansing Oil ($30) is one of my new favorite cleansing oils that my dry skin is absolutely loving! I tend to swap around cleansing oils a lot simply because the ones I really like get discontinued or aren’t easily available in the US. My tried and true is Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil that doesn’t strip my skin! This one of the most appealing aspects of Fancl’s formulas as too many cleansers tend to tighten and strip my skin. When you’re already pretty dry you really don’t want to make your skin feel any more drier nor lose moisture.

Goodal Black Salt Deep Cleansing Oil is a perfect formula for drier skin types (and everyone else too!).

Goodal is a Korean name that’s known for their moisturizing line of skincare so, it makes sense that their cleansing oil has a formula that’s perfect for drier skin types. This formula is a thicker cleansing gel that thins out as I apply it to my skin. It has a light citrus floral fragrance that I wasn’t too keen on but it disappears fairly quickly as I rinse. It does an excellent job removing makeup (even waterproof mascara and sunscreen) without any effort. Like all cleansing oils it’s meant to be applied to dry skin and it emulsifies when water is applied that allows it to quickly and easily rinse away without leaving a film behind. But most importantly, the formula doesn’t strip my skin or make it tight after use. It’s leaves my skin very, very lightly hydrated but never ever tight or dry! I love, love, love I can rinse this off and now feel like I have to rush to apply moisturizer to restore any hydration my cleanser stripped! My skin just feels normal after I use this.

One thing to note is it does leave my eyes cloudy for a bit. Some cleansing oils, some don’t, this formula does! This disappears after a few minutes after I’ve tried my face! It’s worth a mention though if that’s something you hate about cleansing oils!

All in all, the Goodal Black Salt Deep Cleansing Oil is a fantastic cleansing oil well worth a pick up for drier skin types and everyone else.

How does it compare to DHC cleansing oil? I really love how DHC works.

Sorry! I didn’t realize there was more than one. I have been using Deep Cleansing Oil by DHC 🙂

Oh no worries don’t be sorry! There’s the deep cleansing oil and the mild touch cleansing oil! I love the deep cleansing oil but the mild touch is a fav of mine. I actually prefer Goodal’s formula! It’s lighter in texture and the formula feels a lightly hydrating! DHC’s formula leaves me a LITTLE tight after use where as Goodal’s does not. I use to be a major DHC fan girl but I stopped using the Deep due to the fact it really didn’t work for me in the Winter months!

Thanks! I will try the Goodal’s once it gets colder again. I have been using the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil since it has been warmer but not in the deep of winter, and my skin is not as dry now.

I do the same with DHC. It used to my hg for a long time but in the Winter it seems drying to me for some reason! Goodal has been good for me so far! No stripping/dry feeling!
