Lancome L’Absolu Mademoiselle Shine Lipstick is Looking Quite Like Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick

Lancome L’Absolu Mademoiselle Shine Lipstick ($30) arrive just in time for Summer 2019 in ten shiny, juicy shades. I’m all about shiny lipstick! Obsessed with them actually! Two years ago, L’Oreal introduced Colour Riche Shine Lipstick and considering Lancome is their sister brand you have to wonder how the formulas compare. I know the price is vastly different ($30 compared to $8 bucks!).

But most important how much does Lancome L’Absolu Mademoiselle Shine Lipstick look like Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick? Same metallic pink packaging! I still want to try Lancome’s version!

What I find interesting about L’Absolu Mademoiselle Shine Lipstick is the fact they call it a “balmy” hydrating lipstick with a shiny finish. The balmy texture contains rose oils and prolyxane to condition and hydrate lips. How balmy though? I like a shiny, slippery sort of finish! How about you?

I’ve lost since been a fan of shiny lip particularly lipstick formulas versus gloss. I’m happy to see that mattes are sort of being pushed to the background lately in favor of lighter, shinier lip formulas. I hope that this trend continues into Summer 2019.

I’ll be picking one or two of these up!

Lancome L’Absolu Mademoiselle Shine Lipstick are available now!

L’Oreal is the parent company of both Maybelline and Lancome so it’s really not a surprise that the packaging looks the same on these! I wonder how different the formula is but like you, I’m in the shiny lipstick camp right now so I’ll probably still be buying (even though I have both the Maybelline and L’Oreal ones previously released!).

These look similar to the discontinued shine lover lipsticks from Lancome (in a white tube)

I love shiny and sticky gloss –as it stays on longer. With any type of slip I tend to want to constantly either rub it off or re-apply. I know I am in the minority when it comes to sticky glosses.

No, you’re right! That’s one reason MAC Lipglass is so great! It’s sticky but wears for hours!

I swatched these last night at Ulta and they are so great! The finish is lovely … sheer and shiny and lightweight. I didn’t purchase any yet but these are going on my list.
