5 stars out of 5

NYX Candy Slick Glowy Lip Color ($6.50) is a delightful new glossy liquid lip color I’m currently in love with. Available in 12 shades I’ve already decided I need to haul more of these but oh my gosh I can’t believe some of the crummy reviews they have! I’m super tired of matte lip everything and these totally make me happy as the glossy, juicy finish is perfect for fresh Spring and Summer looks!

Let’s take a look at my review and swatches! Maybe I can convince you to love them?

NYX Candy Slick Glowy Lip Color is a glossy, full coverage fluid lip color that has a light sweet flavor and fragrance. I wouldn’t called these a gloss as they are a creamier, thicker texture compared to your standard lipgloss formula not to mention they provide opaque, pigmented color. The shine factor is totally what grabs me! They have a really pretty glossiness and I’m all about it because as I said above I’m really just tired of matte everything.

The color applies flawlessly with a lightly hydrating feel and it wears for a solid five hours without moving around or feathering. As you know I’m prone to drier lips but the color was smooth and even. I know most people have an issue with flavor and fragrance but I found it pleasant enough! Some folks said it tasted horrible but I didn’t have any issues! It was just a sweet flavor that disappeared fairly quickly without leaving a bitter aftertaste.

Pigmented, lightly hydrating, smooth, flawless, and long-wearing this little NYX Candy Slick Glowy Lip Color is making my makeup life at the moment.

Will def grab one if I can snag some on sale! But can I just say how jealous I am that you can pull off that shade of yellow?? Holy cow.
You’re a little young for this, but did you ever have your “colors” done?

oh my gosh thank you!!!!! No never! I did read that seasons book, forgot the name, from like the 70 or early 80s which tells you what colors work for you and what season your tones are (fall, summer, winter, spring)! Honestly, I didn’t even know they did “colors”! That souinds fun haha ;D

The name of that book was “Color Me Beautiful” by Carole Jackson. That book was my bible during those years….supposedly I’m a “Spring” but I always preferred Autumn colors. Go figure.

Wowsa, yes, Pokemon style “gotta catch them all!”. (except maybe the turquoise one) :0)
You look FABULOUS in yellow, and those eyes, always pretty, but extra special in those colors. Btw, loved the blue sweater w/ the white the other day, too. Okay, not a fashion blog, but when you look great, give credit where credit is due! Happy spring (and Easter)…xoxo, Julie

I picked up the lightest pink color today and threw it on while I was in the car. I’m kinda on the fence. The taste and smell were fine, and it was smooth, but it did that thing where it gathers on the inside of my lips but I’m going to keep trying it out. Maybe certain shades don’t work as well as others.
