Tom Ford Emotionproof Concealer for Spring 2019

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Tom Ford Emotionproof Concealer ($59) is a new full-coverage and waterproof concealer that I really need to get my hands on because you know I feel about the woe going on under my eyes. This new formula promises extra long-wear that will even cover up concealers. Ok, sign me up! We haven’t heard that claim since Kat introduced her concealer to the market several plus years ago! Anyone remember when she covered her whole body in it to prove that point?

Tom isn’t quite getting naked and covering up his entire body with Emotionproof but just so he knows I’m here for that if he wants to go ahead and do just that.

I’m a little confused about this formula though! Is a concealer or is it a foundcealer!? Because I gotta say I’m not into the whole I’m a foundation but I’m a concealer too but I’m a concealer and I’m a foundation.

No.

I like my concealers to be one tricky ponies. I just need them to work under my eyes and I don’t need them multitasking as a foundation. This formula seems like it might be more of an all over foundation/concealer and if that’s the case I probably won’t like it.

But we shall see….!

If it is a concealer sign me up because all this water, sweat, humidity, and transfer-proof extreme wear pigmented promises has me all sorts of excited! Makeup orgasm!

Tom Ford Emotionproof Concealer is available now.

If TF does this well, maybe I can forgive him for his terrible showing thus far this spring. You take the bullet for us, and let us know. I got the U concealer recently, and after changing shades from med cool (that turned out like a tan corrector) to light cool, quite like it. It feels on the MUR side, formula wise. I’m the only Nars ho that dislikes RCC.

I don’t like RCC either! It doesn’t last on me and doesn’t cover up my circles. I prefer Shape Tape.

  • Dot

I hope this is good! It feels like his last few releases have been duds or not that interesting.

  • Monica

You are too funny! Cracking me up <3. Thanks for the info as always!

This is where I get confused with terminology and I call bull crap on the wold. What exactly IS a “foundcealer?” What I mean is, what’s the difference between a higher coverage concealer and a foundation? Or for that matter a lighter coverage concealer and a regular foundation?!

Isn’t all of this just words for skin colored, creamy products for your face? I use foundation as “concealer” all the time. I use concealer as “foundation” all the time. There are SO many products and only a limited amount of ingredients.

    Are you following me?

    Am I high?

    Again?

    • Isabella Muse

You’re high. Again. LOL no but seriously, I totally agree. I don’t use foundation as concealer. I find it to drying under my eyes but high coverage foundation in general is basically doing the same thing any spot concealer would do if you’re using it on your face. Foundcealer is just something Tarte created to confuse us all!

      • Dusty

Makes sense. Good ol’ Tarte always lowering the curve for the rest of us. LOL

I’ve used Studio Fix Fluid as an under eye concealer for years. DECADES! EONS even!

        A very long time.

        • Isabella Muse

LOL! Tarte lowers the curve for everything lately! They are scraping the very bottom of the barrel!

There is a Wayne Goss video where he says the Tom Ford Emotion Proof Concealer is the exact same formula as the Smashbox 24 Hour Concealer (the newest one out now). The only difference is the Tom Ford Concealer costs around 2x as much as the Smashbox one, BUT the Smashbox concealer actually comes with more product! He was definitely disgusted and disappointed in Tom Ford Beauty.
