Milani Gilded Ember Hyper-Pigmented Face & Eyeshadow Palette ($19.99) is now available at Amazon.com and it’s all about the Pantone Color of the Year, Living Coral. Although, I’m not convinced it’s quite what I would have selected to represent Living Coral! Hmmm! I mean, I’d totally go for a gorgeous metallic coral highlighter and more coral shades of eyeshadow.
This palette contains nine eyeshadows and two highlighter shades inspired by Living Coral but the promo image makes it look more like a cranberry and gold palette! I have to investigate further and see this in person before I decide as promo images have been wrong before right?
Aside from Butter London, Milani is the only one that addressed the Pantone Color of the Year. I thought for sure that Summer would be flooded with gorgeous coral blushes, eyeshadows, etc…! It’s a beautiful shade and would look great in a variety of different makeup shades! It’s a shame no one took the time to create a collection around it. But we still have a lot of Summer left to live so maybe we’ll see some brand take the shade on!
