4 stars out of 5

Wet n Wild Snowmelt Lip Powder ($6.99) is a new powder to cream lip tint available in seven shades with a matte finish. This is probably one of the most interest lip powders I’ve had the pleasure of using but it isn’t without some fault. However, even with its faults I’d still buy more as I had a blast using it. It’s a fun product and with a little work it looks really quite nice on.

Lip Powders have been trying to make a comeback for years now however, this is the first time any true beauty budget brands have taken out the trend. It’s nice to see a more affordable range of lip powder available.

Let’s take a peek at my review and swatches of Snowmelt Lip Powder!

Wet n Wild Snowmelt Lip Powder comes housed in a chubby little barrel that holds 0.07 oz of tint with an attached lip applicator for application. When removing the wand from the barrel do so over a sink or a tissue just in case you get a little powdery fall out. A few reviews I read people said they got it all over their clothes. I honestly didn’t have the issue. Yes, a bit of powder does come out but nothing too crazy.

At first application, I didn’t even feel like this was a powder at all! It actually applies with a lightly creamy texture. But after shaking the barrel on the second and third application you can see it is a light powder initially that almost instantly goes creamy when it hits your lips. It reminds me a lot of a thinner version of MAC Magically Cool Liquid Powder much like the one released with the MAC Venmous Villains Dr. Facilier Collection or even the new Becca Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder!

The application is a little faulty at first as the powder separates and immediately falls into my natural lip lines. After going over the color a few times I can get a way smoother finish however, the best technique in my experience is to apply a few layers and swipe your finger across your lips to get a smooth, even finish. This is one fault with the formula as it is patchy without a little TLC during the application. The second issue would be the fact it does have a bit of a bitter flavor. This does seem to disappear after 15 minutes.

Wet n Wild Lip Powder Swatches (Snowmelt)

Aside from that I thought the formula was great. It almost has a stain-like look and effect but isn’t drying in the least and has a semi-permanent wear that didn’t transfer or migrate for about four to five hours of wear. It wipes off easily enough but does leave a slight stain behind. The best part is you can easily touch up on top of the color without causing a mess. No matter how many layers you apply it doesn’t look old or faded out. The best part about this is the super lightweight feel. It’s virtually weightless and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing anything at all!

It’s not perfect but Wet n Wild Snowmelt Lip Powder is actually really quite lovely stuff with a little patience during application! I’d totally buy some more. Sadly, the shade I got makes my lips look a bit zombified but I’m eager to check out some of the berry shades!

I’d totally recommend checking out Wet n Wild Snowmelt Lip Powder!

Where to buy

Wet n Wild Snowmelt Lip Powder are available in seven shades and just launched for Summer 2019. They are $6.99 each and 0.07 oz in size. This formula applies a little tricky with a bit of separation and patchiness but smoothing with your finger will get even, smooth coverage! The formula starts out as a lightweight powder but instantly switches to a light, creamy consistency upon contact with lips. I found the comfortable was very comfortable to wear without being drying and felt incredibly lightweight and weightless on my lips. They wear for about five hours and do leave a little staining behind once they fade. I experienced no issues with migration or transferring issues.

  • Affordable.
  • Wears long.
  • Weightless!
  • Wears comfortably without drying out lips!

  • Separation issues, patchiness, but redeems easily by smoothing with a finger!

Wet n Wild Snowmelt Lip Powder should be a hit with those who like lip stains! And particularly for those that have drier lips as this formula is super lightweight and non-drying!

I bought Blizzard Berry. I like the formula, but the color is brown! Not berry at all. I was very disappointed. 🙁

Seems interesting. The first thing I thought of was NYX Powder Puff Lip but this seems different based on b your review. I actually liked the NYX one and its applicator. I haven’t seen the Wet N Wild yet, they have some cosmic displays out right now. Can I say I am over this heat and humidity! I haven’t worn any makeup not even mascara for fear everything would melt off. I wanted Spring to stay a little longer 🙂
