Anastasia Beverly Hills Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette ($45) is a new limited edition palette created in collaboration with youTuber Jackie Aina. News broke early of this palette when it was released on the UK retailer on Friday however, it was quickly taken down and the official statement was made yesterday by Jackie.

Yay for retailers who ruin launches by mistake! There’s irony in here somewhere.

The palette is $45, contains 14 shades, a double-ended brush, and launches today on Instagram. Yup, Instagram! We’ve reached a point where makeup sales are hitting Instagram first ha…!

It’ll be available online tomorrow, August 6th, on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website and major retailers like Sephora will get it on August 15th.

Sadly, it does contain pressed pigments which as we’ve been through before are not always eye safe for everyone. I can’t confirm as of yet which shades are eye safe and which aren’t but as soon as I get the palette I will look into it. There are 14 total shades as I said above in matte and metallic finishes! All of them are brand new although, I did feel like the palette looked a little like the recent Norvina Eyeshadow Palette! I guess it’s the purples that are giving me that vibe!

Shades: Soleil (metallic soft peach with a gold shift), Supreme (matte rosy pink), Pinker (matte mid-tone cool plum), Big Wig (matte rich purple), Dwollahs (metallic golden olive), Credit (deep matte plum brown), Lituation (metallic deep taupe with a violet shift), Zamn (sparkling rose gold), Wiggalese (metallic cranberry red), Shookington (metallic violet with a blue shift), Trust Issues (sparkling white gold), Edges (matte deep peach), Sponsored (metallic chocolate with a teal shift), Ginger (matte caramel brown)

I think promo images aren’t enough for me at the moment because I saw this and didn’t immediately jump up and down in fits of “I NEED THIS NOW!” I think I need to see it in person first as I think it might look better in person than it does in the promo images alone.

I am surprised they choose to release another palette so soon after the collaboration they did with Alyssa Edwards! I wonder if Jackie’s palette is there big Fall 2019 launch and we won’t hear from ABS until the Holidays or if they’ll be another palette as we get deeper into the Fall season!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette launches today on Instagram and look for it soon at other retailers.

I will wait on your review. Each year I get excited with the fall releases and all of the purples and vibrant blues and most of the reviewers say those were the worst performers so I’ll hold off on this one until you give it the thumbs up.

I do too and sometimes those shades are so damn dry at times and difficult to blend! We shall see with this 😀

I will pass on this one. It has the pigments that should not be used on eye area. I have Norvina. I do not understand why makeup companies use colors not intended for eye area. To me, it is waste of money. All shades should be safe to use.

  • Carol

It does remind me of Norvina, but a darker version, which would make it more usable for those with darker complexions. I have too many palettes to use in my lifetime already, so I’m not buying it, but I can see how this would fit in their lineup.

The palette doesn’t look exciting and I don’t like Jackie. Easy pass!

Jackie’s launch video goes over which colors are pigments, if that helps.
I bought this with a quickness because I really want to support designs by women of color, and I do enjoy watching her videos occasionally.
