There’s plenty of new makeup and beauty popping up at Ulta this week and now is a good time as any to haul it because Ulta Members get 2X Points, Platinum Members 3X Points, and Diamond Members 4X Points on all purchases from now until August 17th! I’ve done collected quite a few points this Summer which I’m quite proud of myself about as now I can do a mega haul when Ulta has 20% Off this Fall or during the 21 Days of Beauty Sale that typically happens in September!

Here’s some new picks from Ulta you might want to haul to earn your points (don’t forget to activate the points in your dashboard at ulta.com before shopping under the “my rewards” tab).

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m confused. I may have >4K points at U, but somehow I missed the extra points on the last 1-2 orders. I’ve been ‘activating’ through Temptalia’s link, or via the email, and did not get them. Why qvetch? Well, because those ways do not work to activate the multiples. And to continue that way would be folly. I did not fully understand about activation under my rewards tab. I don’t see anywhere to do it. It was all smooth sailing until the last 2 orders. Another weird thing, my order from 2 days ago came today, and an earlier one did not. I’m having a bit of a wtf moment with Ulta @ present.

    • Isabella Muse

Temptalia’s link won’t activate it, that’s only to login after that you have to to your account and activate. Here’s the steps:

      Ulta.com.
      go to sign in
Your name will be appear in the upper right corner that says “Hi KJH” click there, bring down the tab that says account, your account profile will show with a few different tabs that say my account, order status, my rewards, etc..click my rewards and another drop down happens with my alerts, my bonuses, etc…click my bonuses scroll all the way to the end of the page and you’ll see your current bonus offers click to activate the ones you want (see screen shot here: https://ibb.co/7QrFQ1P)

If you didn’t get credit for the last two orders, call Ulta and see if they can add those pts to your balance!

      Does this help?

      • Renae

I contacted Ulta about this very thing. They are getting very shifty with their rewards benefits, particularly the multipliers.
According to them, when they give out multi-level multipliers, such as this one that expires 8/17, all the levels are included, but not everyone gets them, they are targeted just like the brand specific offers. So, you could be a Diamond member and not get the 4x multiplier.

        • Isabella Muse

Interesting! I thought this was for EVERYONE! I didn’t know it was targeted! 🙁

  • Vicki

I don’t have the extra bonus points offer. Perhaps some of us are excluded for one reason or another. I am platinum through 2020. Sad, isn’t it?

    • Isabella Muse

that’s very weird! I know they do targeted offers but this one is supposed to be for everyone I believe! I’d call them!

      • Laurel

I just called because I didn’t have the bonus offer either and I’m Diamond, and the guy on the phone said this offer was targeted and not everyone got it.

  • kjh

All very interesting. Clearly, they don’t need to target me, as i’m sucked in already. I’ll explore the tab further. But maybe activation IS automatic, if the promo was intended for you. I have no problem with the targeting and understand it. When your buying curve has tanked (like mine at Big S) they will hit you with more incentives. What I DON’T like is the deceptive practices. Maybe there’s fine print about it, but I did not see it. Currently, I seem to be signed in all the time for Ulta on all devices. And then there’s Apple computer; don’t get me started…. thanks.

    • Isabella Muse

As far as I know it isn’t automatic. because whenever I get an email from them they have a little click link to “activate now”. So, you might want to hit your dashboard just in case ;-D I don’t love they reward non-shoppers which I am about to discuss in an upcoming post. It bugs be the target people they don’t shop with better incentives!

  • Agona

I wish I got the points offer. For some reason, my account is only allowing me an offer that says I get 450 pts if I spend $75. Which is nice but I want to buy more stuff. 🙂

    • Agona

I’m sure there’s some marketing algorithm that konkulates with how much to offer you to entice you to spend money for the max profit for them with these targeted marketing offers.
