MAC Love Me Lipstick Review & Swatches
MAC Love Me Lipstick ($19) is a new permanent line of argan oil-infused lipstick with a silky, lightweight texture and a weightless finish. MAC released this new permanent range in 24 dufferent shades and the promise of a conditioning, moisturizing formula had me at hello because I have drier lips and I’m always looking for a nice hydrating lipstick formula. Plus, like many of you I’m just tried of the 24/7 matte reign of power.
I only purchased a single shade from the Love Me Lipstick Collection but I already know I’ll be going back for me as I’m really liking this formula.
Here’s my review and thoughts!
These new lipsticks come in a purple and black ombre barrel which holds 0.1 oz of lipstick for $19. Don’t ask me why but they are .50 cents more than the regular line of MAC Lipsticks which are the same size and $18.50.
I purchased MAC Love Me Lipstick in Bated Breath which is described as a warm pinkey brown. There’s always a lesson learned when purchasing MAC anything based off the descriptions they give because it is almost always not what I expect. I thought this would be a warm pink brown but to me it feels more like a warm plum. I was a bit disappointed when it arrived in the mail. C’est la vie!
The color may have disappointed me but the formula did not.
This is actually one of those formulas you can probably apply blindfolded. It’s a creamy, lightweight texture that glides onto lips with very little effort. This is a pure pleasure to use! The texture as a light buttery feel that doesn’t cling to drier areas and applies smoothly and excellent pigmented. As promised it feels nicely moisturizing on my lips and wears for about four hours without migrating or feathering. It has a softer sheen finish that wasn’t satin in my opinion but had a subtle shine. In some ways, the formula reminds me of a much better and richer version of MAC’s Lustre Lipstick finish! This is a formula those with drier lips will appreciate it.
If you’re tried of matte lipsticks you’ll get on famously with the lightweight, creamy, and lightly hydrating texture! It’s applies beautifully and looks beautiful on! I look forward to trying more shades!

It wore for four hours and the pigment was perfect through that wear without fading or migrating. It’s a very comfortable lipstick to wear and feels nicely hydrating like a balm of sorts throughout the wear!
