Fall 2019 Makeup Collections Are They Coming?

I had a rather busy weekend (I got a chance to see It Chapter 2 thoughts?) but I realized Fall 2019 Makeup Collection have seemed to past me by when I got back to my desk this morning it was all holiday, all day. You say goodbye and I say hello! Hello, Hello, Hello? Where are you Fall 2019 Makeup Collections? I miss you!

It’s all holiday today. I remember, at the risk of sounding like my dad again (I remember walking to school in 18 feet of snow, bare foot, carrying a 25lb backpack), when Fall Makeup Collections didn’t hit until the end of September and Holiday Collections didn’t arrive until the end of October or even, GASP, the start of November.

Yeah. True.

Insane.

I’ve written about this topic before but I think seasonal makeup collections are truly becoming a thing of the past. In the case, of Fall releases I feel like they transcend seasons and just merge and become part of two seasons. For example, Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette is turning into a Fall slash Holiday 2019 release. This is the same for Tarte’s new Treasures Collector’s Set. It’s promoted as a Holiday release but the shades scream Fall.

As for Too Faced, hell, they said screw Fall we’re going full-on Holiday. They released info on Holiday 2019 fully but we haven’t heard a peep about Fall launches! Unless you consider the Palm Springs Dreams Cocktail Party Eye Shadow Palette and Watermelon Slice Face and Eye Palette fall offerings, which I don’t. Ok, so, in all fairness I might give the Palm Springs Palette a go for Fall! The shades do remind me of falling leaves but still, it’s not really much of a Fall launch is it?

I guess in someways this does save us money plus it gives a little rest as the makeup collections have been coming fast and furious lately. But I do miss the days when brands released beautiful Fall makeup collections that were fitting for the season.

Are you ready for Holiday 2019 Makeup Collections or are you really wanting Fall 2019 Makeup Collections first?

Do share!

I love fall collections so I’m sad to see the lack of them this year. I know it’s good for the budget since I will have to buy presents and Holiday collections soon but I still want everything fall.

I love fall period especially makeup around this time of the year. It’s sad they skipped right over the season. True! At the least it saves money but man, I’m still sort of sad!

I don’t even understand why they release holiday collections so early. Does it really drive up sales? I know you can pretty much wear anything year-round nowadays, but seeing promo images for gingerbread and holiday glitz and glam when it’s still sweltering hot out doesn’t really catch my eye. I personally don’t restrict myself to wearing certain colours according to the season, but the season certainly does influence me; I’ll wear more light and springy colours in the spring and I’ll go very minimialist in the summer. If I buy a winter collection in the middle of a heat wave, I probably won’t even touch it until the cooler months. Maybe that’s just me. I also find my makeup can complete the look, so I like to wear something that complements my clothing–and I do dress according to the season. LOL.

girl, in the collections defense it’s hot out everyday on your side of the planet haha ;-D No but seriously, I agree. I’m just in Fall mode right now and seeing all these Holiday Collections is killing my pumpkin spice latte everything mood. I’m like that too! I def match my clothes, accessories, makeup to the season! I feel like some of these collections def transcend seasons though! The colors speak more Fall but they are promoting as Holiday. It’s confusing!

Tell me about it. It does get cold in the winter, though! Not New York and Canada (where I’m from) cold, but you know the Bay Area: it’s got that weird damp cold that chills you to the bone. I’d rather have the dry cold that accompanies snow.

I think fall colours work pretty well in the winter because they’re subdued and cozy looking. But yes, it’s like the cosmetics industry just blurred both seasons together this year. Crazy!

        • Isabella Muse

True it does ;-D but not NY cold haha! ;-D But you’re right! The bay reminds me of London in Winter. It really does have a damp chill that isn’t pleasant :-/ It really is a merge and mesh up of Holiday and Fall. It’s strange! I get it I guess. They need that Holiday $$$ lol! But they also, want to get you to buy in the Fall so they can literally spring Spring on you in November/December!

I’m always ready for Holiday makeup BUT I want and miss the Fall makeup. I’m with you on this! It definitely is better for my wallet but the fall collections are the ones I always looked forward to as it is my season:)

I feel the trend to skip over Fall in favor of the Holidays has been going on for a while now. I still miss the Philosophy Halloween/Autumn items from long past. They were always more exciting than the holiday offers. I am and will always be a Fall lover. Just wish cosmetics companies would celebrate the season for how wonderful it truly is.

I miss the Philosophy Fall/Halloween items too and just seasonal offerings in general! Philosophy used to do so many cute things for each season! V-Day, Easter, Halloween, now they really put little effort into launches!

I’m actually grateful for the break. With the recent sales, I picked up previous releases that I didn’t want to pay full price for”the only problem is now I have a backlog of palettes I have yet to try. I’m hoping to try them out before any holiday releases catch my eye.

I would have liked to see more fall makeup releases. I have seen a lot of fall nail color releases which I’ve scooped up but as you know retailers want to get as much money as they can. I saw Halloween decorations and candy in August and September hasn’t passed nor have we approached October yet. The benefit is that you will get the sales much sooner since they put them out so early. It’s going to be 89 degrees and higher the next few days so I’m not sure if it’s still summer or fall. I feel funny burning salted caramel candles when it’s 90. Maybe it’s just me. Lol

I think you are right. The Too Faced holiday palettes do look like fall palettes.
I really don’t want make up companies to merge fall and holiday. There is a better chance they would possibly release some cool toned palettes if they just released warm fall ones. Last year colourpop did two beautiful fall palettes. They must still have some coming.
I must be ready for holiday. I already bought one holiday palette and I can’t wait to get my hand on the Hourglass holiday palette.

    • Isabella Muse

right? And tarte too! And Naked Honey! I sure hope so! There’s still plenty of Fall left so hopefully brands will give us some pretty things for fall 😀

  • Kimkats

Ok, so it isn’t just me! I kept wondering where the fall collections were, and apparently they’re a thing of the past. I’m much more partial to the fall stuff than the holiday stuff; holiday mu is usually more intense than I wear, so I pass by most of it. But imma miss the fall collex….they were always my favorite!

  • Eraser

Sigh… Call me a geezer (geezerette? ) but I miss the old days when all the cosmetic lines did seasonal color stories. There wasn’t this unrelenting emphasis on new products and limited editions. It really was exciting to see what new shades were coming out.

I miss fall collections as well. I remember some really awesome fall campaigns like those in the Avon booklets that I used to love looking through in the late 80s and throughout most of the 90s. I remember back to school time always had ads of models in rich, red lipstick. Loreal, Maybelline and Cover Girl all played along in their ads. I remember those days. As a makeup lover, fall was always a time to refresh and try something new. It still is. It does seem a bit odd to covet the new Gingerbread pallet when the leaves have yet to fall and the thought of Christmas cookies seems so far off into the future. But here I find myself…
