Tarte Treasures Collector’s Set for Holiday 2019 Isn’t Quite The Blush Book I Expected

Tarte Treasures Collector’s Set for Holiday 2019 arrived last night and it’s not quite the Blush Book I was expecting. It’s September and as tradition would have Tarte as been known to launch a Blush Book that typically includes eight to ten full-size blush shades. Actually, last year, the Big Blush Book launched in August for Loyalty Members and later in September became available for everyone else. The first time they launched that palette it sold out mighty fast but I was slightly disappointed it failed to sell out the last two years or so. That could be the reason we don’t see it returning this year but maybe if we’re lucky we’ll get something along the lines of the Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel or the Blush Bliss Palette as I feel like these are so much more easier to store and the quality does seem a tiny bit better compared to the massive Blush Books!

Anyway, the Tarte Treasures Collector’s Set is the second item we are seeing from the Tarte Holiday 2019 Collection. The other item is releasing this weekend during the Sephora Holiday 2019 Rouge Event which is the Winter Wonderglam Luxe Eye Palette. There’s also an early QVC Today’s Special Value called the Twice as Nice 10-Piece Collectors Gift Set that popped up. I think one of the more interesting aspects about the Holidays this year is the fact that Fall Collections have sort of been pushed to the sidelines and we just jumped right into Holiday. That’s sort of sad.

Update: Thanks to Denise for pointing out this is actually available as part of the second shipment in the QVC Today’s Special Value Set! Which is a better deal than spending $49 on it from Tarte as that set includes a full-size foundation, lipglosses, and more!

None the less, the Tarte Treasures Collector’s Set is here now and here are the deets!

Unlike year’s past this set is a lot smaller in comparison compared to some of Tarte’s massive Holiday offerings. I mean this is 13 shades and a full-size mascara! That’s nothing compared to Tarte releases like Home for the Holidaze Collector’s Set, Light of the Party Collector’s Set, Gorgeous Getaway Collector’s Set, The Starlet Makeup Vanity, etc…! I have to admit I like the smaller size. Sometimes larger palettes can be overwhelming however, the price at $49 is a little much compared to the bigger palettes we’ve seen in the past which were around the same price!

The shades aren’t really Holiday shades at all which makes sense considering the release is closer to the Fall and these shades reek Fall. I guess they want the palette merge easily into both seasons. Although, not unique I can’t really say I hate the palette. The colors are actually quite gorgeous. They aren’t anything I probably don’t have already but I can see myself easily wanting to purchase this.

The palette is limited edition and includes nine eyeshadows, two blushes, two highlighters, a full size Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara, and a Double-Ended Brush.

Eyeshadows:

  • Wonderland (matte cream)
  • Gilded (caramel luster)
  • Cranberry Kiss (cranberry luster)
  • Foiled (metallic rose gold)
  • Hot Cocoa & Chill (matte warm brown)
  • Cinnamon Swirl (copper luster)
  • Nutmeg (matte light brown)
  • Buttered rum (bronze luster)
  • Giving (matte burgundy)

Blushes:

  • Always Nice (pink with golden sheen)
  • Bow-Tied (matte soft rose)

Highlighters:

  • Drippin (golden highlight)
  • Glow Szn (champagne highlight)

shades in the qvc set are called: silver bells, sled, holiday cheermeister, and yule-tide with a bow

      • Denise

The picture is *identical*, but QVC doesn’t list shade names for the palette in AD2.

ohhh in the second shipment! I didn’t see the pics in the second shipment! I just looked OMG you’re right haha!

I just didn’t want someone who wants the palette to miss out on the much better deal (if they don’t mind waiting three months). Or buying from Tarte if they already ordered from QVC on AD, and ending up with duplicates!

thanks for the heads up! I didn’t even notice the ad2 picture until now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you’re a peach 😀

I’m confused at the layout; does the palette fold in on itself or are those side panels sliding and the slide on top?

I really want this!! It’s been awhile since I’ve had a new Tarte palette, and I love these colors.

I ordered A/d at qvc because of this palette.(all for me) You get foundation mascara etc with it. First delivery, I am breaking up as gifts, and keeping the foundation brushes etc

Hi, I loved your take on this. Totally agree about the past offerings. As you said, I have most of these colors in some way or another except the Foiled color. It’s the perfect rose gold and I can’t match it for my life! Obviously because it’s a limited palate I can’t find it now and replacing the whole palate for one shade also seems a little crazy. Do you have a dupe or a favorite rose gold that you could recommend?! I’m desperate
