Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water arrives for Fall 2019 along with a few other new rose water infused products but one wonders do we need to fix in already great thing? I think Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water is a great formula. Even before it even hit the US market I was raving it’s great formula and to this day I still think it’s the best bang for your buck to remove makeup quickly and easily. It’s not something I use daily as I do enjoy my nightly routine and feel like my face is best cleansed when I do a double cleanse but when I’m tired you can be darn sure I’m reaching for my big old bottle of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water!

But of course, like all good things, brands feel the need to go bigger and better. Since it’s launch we’ve been through quite a few varieties. First we had the Garnier Waterproof Cleansing Water which is fab, after that we had Garnier Skinactive Micellar Makeup Removing Towelettes so, you travel with your micellar water, and of course, let’s not forget Garnier Skinactive Micellar Eye Makeup Remover Pads!

Oh! And let’s not forget there’s also a mattifying version of micellar water and in the UK there’s a bi-phase oil formula too!

The thing with brands is if they have something good on their hands they run with it. They run hard with it. I guess rose water was the next best thing to go with! Is rose water good for you skin? It’s debatable. Some sources say the fragrance could be an issue for sensitive and others say it’s a great anti-inflammatory ingredient.

As someone who doesn’t have sensitive skin I don’t think I mind the idea of Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water so long as the fragrance is pretty and not cloying! What do you think?

Here’s some other rosy skincare picks from Garnier available for Fall 2019.

Garnier SkinActive Rose Water 24H Moisture Gel $14.99

Garnier SkinActive Water Rose 24H Moisture Cream $14.99

Is the rose water version in addition to, or a replacement for the regular micellar water? I’m incredibly sensitive to floral scents (to the point where I had fake flowers at my wedding). I use my Garnier micellar water every night, as the final step in my cleansing routine; I’d hate to have to find a new one.

It’s a hard pass for me! I’m allergic to roses and even cannot stand the smell. I do love the original micellar water and will keep using that.
