Florence by Mills Glow Yeah Lip Oil ($14) is a new hydrating lip treatment that contains African Mango Butter. As you already know, Florence by Mills is a new line of makeup and skincare created by Millie Bobby Brown for Gen Zers. The line is vegan, cruelty-free, and created with “clean” ingredients. Much like Tarte’s recent Sugar Rush Collection the line is targeted at girls and boys in their early to late teens.

I might not be their key demographic but it didn’t stop me from picking up a few items from the Florence and Mills Collection to try out! Yesterday, I reviewed the Florence by Mills Cheek Me Later Cream Blush and briefly discussed the marketing, demographic, and celebrity face behind the brand.

I was intrigued enough to purchase Florence by Mills Glow Yeah Lip Oil because I have drier lips but also, because I was curious to see how it compared to Tarte’s Sugar Rush Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil. The brands have such similar products that it’s hard not to make comparisons between the two!

Florence by Mills Glow Yeah Lip Oil is available in a single clear shade and will set you back $14 for 0.27 oz. It comes housed in a squeeze tube with a slanted tip applicator for application. Tarte has the advantage in formula and shade range but not in price nor size. Glow Yeah Lio Oil is actually twice the size of Tarte’s and a $1 cheaper. Tarte Sugar Rush Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil is 0.1 oz and $15 versus the 0.27 oz for $14 you get from Millie’s lip oil. That being said, I think Tarte’s formula is a little better in terms of wear but I’ll get into that more later. The formula is fragrance and flavor-free.

This formula is actually lovely. It’s a very thin texture that doesn’t feel oily in the least. It has the texture of a lightweight lipgoss in my opinion and not that of a lip oil. It provides fantastic shine and does have a very nice hydrating feel but it isn’t a lasting nor a healing one. I can put this on and instantly my lips feel quenched with moisture but I don’t feel it provides any long term moisture benefits and after it wears off so does the moisture factor. I love how glossy and shiny it looks on my lips! Sadly, it does wear away super fast! The thin texture and the lack of any stickiness or tackiness means the formula wears away very quickly. Within 30 minutes of application I felt like it disappeared! Tarte’s formula is a bit thicker and wears longer at around two hours. None the less, I still really liked Glow Yeah Lip Oil! I particularly liked the fact it added a nice shine when worn on top of lipstick or even other lipglosses! I’d totally buy it again once I run through this because it’s an excellent clear topper. However, I do wish the price was a smidge cheaper! This feels more like a $8-$10 lip oil not a $14 one.

Florence by Mills Glow Yeah Lip Oil isn’t the most hydrating lip treatment around but the glossiness might draw you in like it did me!

Ulta

Florence by Mills Glow Yeah Lip Oil is a new single shade hydrating lip treatment that’s 0.27 oz in size and $14. This is a really thin, glossy formula that looks incredible on lips but did wear for a shorter time at around 30 minutes. During the wear it provides a nice, quenching moisture to drier lips but didn’t give lips any long term moisture benefits after it wore away. It has no flavor nor any fragrance and wasn’t tacky nor sticky.
