Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo Review & Swatches

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo

Physicians Formula Argan Wear is back for Spring 2016 and with it a new Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo ($12.95). Good times! Last year, Physicians Formula released an impressive Argan Wear Collection with a really great Argan Oil that I’ve since replaced several times as I really enjoy the formula.

I was quite excited that this year Physicians Formula has a whole host of goodies for the Spring season including a new Argan Mist, lip oils, bronzers, BB Cream, and more!

For now, let’s take a peek at the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo!

Right off the back the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo made me think of my much beloved Josie Maran Argan High Gloss Lip Quench! If you’ve used Josie’s formula you likely had that little sense of deja vu too!

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo come in cute slim line tubes that each hold 0.3 oz product each. You get two shades here which are Liquid Gold and Pink but both apply sheer with absolutely no color but plenty of shine.

I think something to remember here is the fact that these are promoted as lip oils that promise to condition, hydrate, and replenish lip moisture. In another words, don’t mistake them for lipglosses. They do in fact have a runny almost oil-like consistency that wears a very short time on lips as they tend to fade off rather quickly. Aside from the packaging I wouldn’t say the formula resembles Josie Maran’s version in the least. But I will say they do quench lips in very nice, light moisture during the shorter wear and they feel quite soothing on my drier lips. It’s debatable whether or not they have long term moisture effects though. I’ve been using them a week and I don’t think my lips feel any better in the dryness department however, they feel incredible and very soothing and quite nicely hydrating when I apply them during the day. My lips tend to get parched throughout the day and these are a very nice pick me up plus they look pretty darn amazing as they have a super shiny finish that my photos don’t do justice. I also feel like they look really nice on top of lipstick and add a gorgeous lacquer shine. They have a sort of a light sun tan coconut fragrance but have a light coconut water flavor that I found pleasant enough but sensitive users might not love it.

I’m not sure if the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo will have any long term benefits on my lips but I sure do like having them around when my lips are feeling dry during the day plus they wear very nicely over lipsticks. Not everyone is going to like this thinner, runnier formula and many folks won’t love the fact they wear away quickly but I don’t mind reapplying in all honesty and felt they added nice, light, non-sticky moisture to my lips with incredible shine! They are a little expensive so I’d suggest waiting for a sale if you’re wanting to try ’em out.

The Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo is launching now at drugstores.

These look interesting. They remind me of the Clarins lip oil which I’ve really wanted to try.

I remember when lip oils were everywhere a few years back. I’m glad to see them popping up again. Laura Geller just had one on TSV. Thanks for the review.. and LOVE your eye shadow in this look. Thanks!
