Do I Need the Physicians Formula 24-Karat Gold Collagen Face Palette? Feels Like I Do!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Physicians Formula 24-Karat Gold Collagen Face Palette ($17.99) launched yesterday for Spring 2020 and I feel like I need it. It’s just filled with really great golds, khaki greens, and and browns and yeah, I sort of felt like it was going for the Natasha Denona Mini Gold Eyeshadow Palette with this launch but it’s so pretty I don’t mind having a little dupe hanging out at the drugstore!

I tend to like the combination of green, brown and gold on my eyes. They are just colors that go well with my brown eyes! This palette contains two highlighters one of which is a bronze-y brown. I was thinking that either of the highlighters can likely double up as an eyeshadow. It also contains eight eyeshadows and a new 24 Karat Gold Collagen Mascara. The mascara can be used as a base for eyeshadows, on lashes to add a sparkly gold to the tips of lashes, or coat your lashes in the mascara for a gorgeous gold tint.

The palette is $17.99 and available exclusively through the Physicians Formula website at the moment but should launch at more retailers soon!

Do you think you’ll be picking this one up?

I’m considering it.

You need it. Most of your readers will want your opinion, even if is pretty duped in your stash.

First of all, yeah! for Spring 2020…I can’t wait for Spring.
Also, yes I can see picking this up even though I need it like a hole in the head. The colors are pretty. If it comes to Ulta I will most likely buy it since you can use their coupon on it.

It’s at my local CVS with an entire 24kt display. I was on the fence because of the $19.99 they wanted and wondered about the fallout. I can wait for your review. I don’t think they are selling fast in stores.

    • Isabella Muse

oh more expensive in stores, interesting! I haven’t seen it in stores yet! I’ll have to hop to CVS and double check to see if it launched while I wasn’t looking ;D

Yes check above the normal displays on top. They ran out of space with all of the Christmas stuff. That rose palette and rose mascara is also there but again it’s higher in price. Heck just buy everything 24 karat so you can review. I am curious about the eye product and if it “brightens” because it’s some sort of gold shimmer. Would love to get your feedback.

I did but sadly nada 🙁 sucks but my order shipped finally so that’s good news ;-D Someone just mentioned in comments the palette sucks which kind of made me sad 🙁

It is at CVS. Make sure you sign up for the weekly coupons online. I normally get a 40% off one item coupon so I would easily spend $12 on this.

Drugstore is getting pricey (although the quality is getting better) so the key is to make sure you sign up for your favorite drugstore’s loyalty programs.

You do not need this!!!I I got this and it and it is extremely disappointing. Eyeshadows are not pigmented and several of them are flaky. And the mascara is gold! It’s gold and it’s runny and it’s dripped out of the tube every time I opened it. Hard pass!

  • Felicia Ferrick

As Desirea commented below DO NOT BUY! Lol. This was one of the worst purchases I have ever made from Physicians Formula. I was so bummed because I was hoping it might dupe some shades from Urban Decay Honey palette but the shades are dry, chunky flaky messes. They barely have any pigmentation to them and the highligher and bronzer are just strange colors IMO. I was so disappointed because I first saw this on Trendmoods gram a month ago and the swatches looked so nice and I have been stalking my CVS for it and they finally had it last week and I was so excited and then… Sigh. I really hope the rose palette makes up for it. I am going to wait for your review on that one first before I buy it.

Now that looks really, really lovely! I think you should buy it Muse. Beautiful gold shades and I love the combination of gold, brown and olive myself.

I’m a jeweler so I feel like I have to get this on principle. I’m still waiting for the perfect colored mascara. Mark Jacobs did an excellent job but I prefer my mascara in mini tubes because it expires so fast compared to other cosmetics.

(FYI some crazy jeweler figured out the formula for purple and blue gold!!!!! Long story short it has an AMAZING color but is so brittle you pretty much have to treat it like a stone instead of a metal that can be bent and formed. I got to see some in person and its SO PRETTY but you may as well use anodized titanium or niobium if you want a colorful metal. Thanks for coming to my TED talk!)

Interesting career! My aunt was a jeweler too, fun fact of the day hehe ;-D LOL! you’re adorable ;-D now I have to google purple and blue gold and educate myself 😀
