Oh happy day Revlon is releasing a shiny lipstick! Revlon Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick arrives today for Spring 2020 and I’m all kinds of excited because I am a big advocate of the “DEATH TO ALL MATTE LIPSTICKS!” campaign! We’ve had a good run lately with shiny drugstore lipsticks with the launch of Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick and L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine Lipstick and I’m happy that trend is continuing into Spring 2020 because I do so love a good shiny lipstick!

I gotta admit just the name alone makes me shiver in happiness! Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick….! Ooo! Melting, glass, shine, yasss! Don’t disappoint here Revlon! These better be shiny AF or I’m going to be upset. The Super Lustrous Lipstick formula is already a really good one. I feel like if they are basing these off that formula and just making things more shinier we might just have a winner on our hands here!

Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick ($6.99 on Sale) are available in 12 shade selections with a promise of a glass-like shine finish that’s buttery, soft, and melty upon contact with lips. They also contain hyaluronic acid. Promising, very promising!

Revlon also launched three new Photoready Facial primers and ladies and lads, you know I love me some Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer which means I gotta try these new ones and see how they hold up against my beloved Photoready Perfect Primer.

Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Brightening & Skin Tone Evening Primer $13.99
First on the list is this new skincare and primer all-in-one! If you’re looking to not only prep but also to improve the appearance of your skin over time this primer contains Vitamin C and Lactic Acid to gently exfoliate and brightne. However, it also contains lemon extract which isn’t a particularly good pick for skincare or primer.

Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Mattifying + Pore Reducing Makeup + Skincare Primer $13.99
This primer is formulated to prep skin as well for makeup while blurring pores and creating a softer appearance while mattifying and treating acne prone skin with Salicylic Acid.

Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Perfecting & Smoothing Primer $13.99
And finally we have a good pick for drier skin that preps skin for makeup while treating it to a blend of Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin B5, and Pumpkin seed extract to hydrate skin and smooth it.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Oh, me likey. Esp. the lipsticks! I Hate, Despise, Loathe and Otherwise Dislike matte lipsticks! I just don’t find them flattering – super high shine isn’t at the top of my list either, but some shine and moisture are a must! SO happy to see Revlon putting these out – and the colors look very nice. The pink bottled primer looks promising too – Um, you gonna review it, Muse? 🙂 Purty please?

I’m a huge fan of Revlon’s Photo Ready Primer so look forward to your review on the new ones. I’m most excited about the new lip products!! Love matte on my eyes but not my lips. Can’t wait!

  • Ale

The lipsticks are super sshin6 and moisturizing, and fade gracefully. Yay!

  • Eraser

The lipstick reminds me of their late lamented butter type lipstick, which seemed to be so popular that it still mystifies me as to why they discontinued it. If it’s like that, I’ll be stocking up!

  • Claudia

I wish they would release new nail shades. The lipstick looks like it might make it in my cart today along with some new Essies. Or maybe I should go in store, you know, instant gratification and all that.

  • Carol G

Was excited about the lipsticks as well: already ordered 2 from Ulta!

  • Abi

I really love the glass shine lipstick. I ordered the shade Rum Rasin from amazon and it’s a beautiful sheer balmy gloss – my favorite kind of lipstick. I loved the Revlon Sheer/gloss lipsticks and it looks like this might be taking their place.

  • Kristin

I *really* hope these are shiny because they are glossy and balmy, not just chock full of glitter/shimmer!

  • Cynthia

I didn’t even know these were a thing until a couple of days ago but I am very interested. Revlon Super Lustrous was one of the first lipsticks I ever tried where I was happy with how it looked and felt, so I have big hopes for these.
