I Forgot How Much I Loved These Beauty Products

I’ve organized and cleaned the pantry twice, I’ve shined the wood floors three times in the last 7 days, and I’ve organized my entire closet for the warmer weather (not that I’m going anywhere anytime soon but hey, be prepared right?).

Now I’m busy rediscovering things I love. Like how did I forget how much I loved Little Britain? I’m re-watching all the series on Prime. Like if I had to self-isolate with one Little Britain character who would it be!? I know, I know I can’t pick Tom Baker right? Because he’s not an actual character just the narrator. DAMN! Lou and Andy? Absolutely not. I can only have one indecisive person in the house at a time and that would be me! Anne? Eh eh eh! HELL NO! Girl, licks all the things! We’d all die with her around! Vicky Pollard? Yeah but no but yeah but NO! Wait, I got it! Marjorie Dawes! She’d totally keep me from overeating!

I’m also rediscovering makeup and beauty that I forgot I loved!

How did I forget how much I love Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer? I came across one while cleaning up and destashing. It’s actually not good anymore but I ordered a new one over the Christmas break and I put it aside but didn’t use it. On Monday I cracked it open and used it. It’s such a cool texture and I love how it sinks right in and leaves my skin feel fresh, dewy, and prepped for makeup. It really works great with tinted moisturizer!

I’ve hauled out all my Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Colors last week and realized sadly, some needed to be put into the beauty archive and couldn’t be used anymore. But others are recent purchases and I popped them into my Spring/Summer rotation as I forgot how much I loved them. They are so sparkly and pretty not to mention the colors are really pretty!

I keep seeing commercials, reviews, and Instagram posts about Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick and I hauled these back out! How did I forget about them? You ever love something but you move on to the next big thing and just forget about the thing you originally loved? That sort of happened with these! I think the packaging was what sort of made me give up on them! But I’ve rediscovered my love for them recently!

Have you bee detstashing, reorganizing, and possibly rediscovering any makeup or beauty loves?

Do share ’em!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m trying to use up the sample sizes or partially used things I have, as well as things I wouldn’t wear to the office. I’ve almost finished off a bottle of tinted Soleil Toujours sunscreen thats a tad too yellow for me, but balances out well with the Shiseido Sensitive mineral Sunscreen that makes me too white 😉 Also using up the Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect lipstick that pulls orange on me and the Pat McGrath mini-eye palette I have, where i love the colors, but they’re too much for work at an office. I’ve also almost finished off my Clinique loose powder, which seems like miraculous loaves and fishes that never runs out. I’m cheap, so I try to use up what I buy if I can’t rehome it.

I found a Revlon Glass Shine Lipstick in my purse and thought, “oh yeah! I forgot about these!” I got quite a few before this all happened. I HATE the packaging and actually sent Revlon an email:) But I love the lipstick! Also found Clinique’s Chubby Lip Balm and forgot how much I love those.

Mally’s Perfect Prep Poreless Primer is another item that I came upon while organizing and had forgotten how much I love it.

In addition to going through drawers I recommend going through one’s purse! I haven’t been out in weeks so really haven’t had the need to but am finding all sorts of goodies!

oh my gosh! Yes! I need to haul out some of my chubby lip balms as I haven’t used them in a bit! I used to be obsessed with chubby lip balm everything ;-D Haha true! I haven’t cleaned out my purse in a bit!

I love Little Britain! Yeah, but, no, but, yeah, but SHUT UP!
Also recently discovered the glory of Kevyn aucoin foundation balm. As a fellow dry skin gal, you should check it out. It’s on sale at Nordstrom. I think I found my holy grail.

LOL! Me too! 🙂 YAY! I’m glad to hear you like it! I like it as well!

I’ve been in a wheelchair for 25 years. That picture is offensive.

I’m very very sorry I didn’t mean to offend you Jodi. Lou and Andy are characters from a silly British comedy show. Andy’s the indecisive character that I totally associate with (I can never make up my mind and neither can Andy). I meant no offense posting this and wasn’t trying to be insensitive.
