Which Fruit Do You Choose For a Makeup and Beauty Theme? I Choose Banana!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I’m currently bananas about banana beauty and makeup! It all started when I got bored and I rearranged by pantry ten times. After ten times it was getting boring so I moved on to my beauty closet which was a really good idea because I had some stuff in there like these cool EOS Lip Balms that I forgot about. Sometimes I feel so much more human when I get a random text from my friend Sam saying, “I purchased so and so and I don’t know where I put it!” This is me lately. I forget I have things. Am I getting old? Am I under too much stress? What is going on!?

That being said as I was going through my beauty close I also came across some of the Body Shop Banana goodies I purchased back in December. Have I told you how obsessed I am with the Body Shop Banana Shampoo and Conditioner? It’s a fav of mine!

After this someone on Facebook commented how E.L.F. should have brought back the Jelly Pop Collection as a pineapple scent and I was all, yassss! I’d love that.

If you could choose what fruit would you like to see trending in the makeup and beauty world this year?

I represented peach a bit yesterday but I’d love to see some popping banana yellows and golds injected into my Summer makeup wardrobe!

Here’s some banana makeup and beauty bits and bobs you can snag now.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Banane $42
If you wanna smell like banana cream pie this is totally the fragrance you need. Banana, vanilla, fluffy, yummy perfection! A perfect scent for Summer!

Sephora Banana Cream Mask $8
A rich banana cream mask that smooths and hydrates and smells like delicious bananas!

Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Banana + Coconut Nourishing Superfood Shampoo and Conditioner $28
I’ll readily admit that I am somewhat obsessed by Briogeo’s hair care! It’s pretty darn amazing! Who doesn’t want a tropical banana and coconut smoothie for their hair? This nutrient-rich formula contains potent antioxidants and hair essential oils to hydrate and smooth locks! Bonus points for smelling the best pina colada ever!

Glow Recipe Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream $39
I don’t really love body lotions and creams as they can come across really sticky but Glow Recipe’s light banana smoothie textured moisture cream is divine! It absorbs fully, never feels sticky, and feels dreamy! Sadly, it doesn’t smell much like bananas but it still has the texture of a yummy banana dessert!

The Body Shop Banana Truly Nourishing Hair Mask $18
If you really want the ultimate banana hair mask experience you can’t get any better than The Body Shop’s thick, creamy, super hydrating hair mask! It leaves your hair not only smelling like bananas but feeling amazingly soft.

I Heart Revolution Banana Loose Baking Powder $7
Not only does I Heart Revolution’s Baking Powder set makeup and concealer but it smells like delicious banana custard!

Lano Banana Balm Sheen $15
Dry lips? You can’t get anything better than Lano’s super hydrating lip balm! This one smells and tastes like banana!

I Heart Revolution Banana Fruity Highlighter $7
Get a golden sheen on cheeks and fast with this fruity banana highlighter!

Tony Moly Magic Food Banana Hand Milk $10
Tony Moly’s hand milk isn’t going to get any major awards for being super hydrating. This is a really lightweight hand cream that absorbs in a snap but the hydration is very light. However, it does get major points for smelling like a dreamy, creamy banana!

Tony Moly Magic Food Banana Hand Milk

Tree Hut Banana Muffin Shea Sugar Scrub $8.99
What’s banana popcorn smell like? That would be Treat Hut Banana Muffin Sugar Scrub! This smells like someone made a delicious just popped batch of buttery popcorn with some banana tossed in! Delicious!

The Body Banana Truly Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner $11
And last but never least if you really wanna smell like banana all the things this shampoo and conditioner is where it’s at. Not only does it smell like banana puree it also, hydrates hair so beautifully!

Beauty Bakerie Proof is in the Puddin” Eyeshadow Palette $25
Magnolia Bakery’s Banana Pudding is a staple here in New York and this Beauty Bakerie Eyeshadow Palette spot on reminds me of it. The warm yet wearable shades nude totally represent banana pudding so perfectly!

If you had to choose a fruit to represent your makeup and beauty addiction which would you choose?

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. Loved both this and the peach post. BTW, real m/u dementia is not ‘where did i put it?’ but buying the product multiple times without knowing you did. It’s an extension of wardrobe dementia. Usually WD happens from acquiring discounted merch that you bought in the last few years, stashing it, then reacquiring it, as it still appeals. The reason there is so much more WD than MUD is there are so many LE m/u editions. You don’t get as many chances to unknowingly dupe products. These are not dangerous or serious disorders, though they can be financially disadvantageous. But they are real, all too real. Fruit? I think I’d opt for Buddha’s hand, though citrus is not exactly appropriate for s/c or m/u. If you want to smell it, eventually you might be able to catch a whiff of Phlur’s Olmstead and Vaux, who of course, created your Central Park.

I love the banana hand cream! I’m a music teacher and it’s the best one I’ve found that soaks in so fast, I don’t have to worry about getting residue on musical instruments. Plus, the kids think the little banana packaging is really cute:)

These are great picks! The Body Shop also makes a banana body butter that is ultra moisturizing and smells divine!

My pick is waaay too common but still my favorite for everything. Pink grapefruit. Luckily there is no shortage of pink grapefruit products. Even dish detergent and glass cleaner.
