5 stars out of 5

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Sanitizer Spray is a $10 antibacterial spray that launched in April on the brand’s website (Back in Stock at sephora.com!). Sol de Janeiro was actually one of the first brands to tackle a hand sanitizer during the pandemic plus 100% of profits from the sale of it directly benefited Bayada Home Healthcare and their home health care staff who care for the elderly and the most vulnerable. At the time of launch they had a limit of 2 hand sanitizers per a person and were accepting coupons and I happened to have a 20% one off so I ended up scoring two bottles for $16. I’d probably have purchased more if I could have as you know how obsessed I am with the scent of Bum Bum Cream aka Cheirosa 62!

I’m just throwing it out into the universe for Sol de Janeiro to hopefully hear but I’d totally buy a case of hand soap in this scent. I love, love, love Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream and I think a hand soap would be a great accompanying piece to the hand cream!

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Sanitizer Spray is now back in stock! This is a 3 oz mist bottle that contains 80% alcohol. Considering alcohol is terribly drying I was SO surprised this didn’t dry my hands out. It’s a very light almost dry-like mist that immediately sets as soon as you spray it. It reminds me of a dry oil spray of some sort. As soon I misted it on my hands don’t feel wet or sticky it sets in and feels almost matte. I mist, rub my hands together (which isn’t even necessarily since it sets so fast), and I’m done! Good to go! My hands aren’t wet, they aren’t sticky, and they aren’t dry!

But the most important thing here is the scent right? You want to know all about the scent! Pistachio, almond, vanilla, salted caramel…! Delicious! Like a tropical cake melting in your hands!

I do have a little bad news!

This isn’t as strong as the hand cream. The scent is much, much lighter compared to many of Sol de Janeiro products but it’s still very much there and still as gorgeous as always! It’s yummy to say the least.

But I really need a hand soap too now. Please?

I love the hand cream as well, but I had to stop using it at work as my co-worker was complaining it smelled too strong. I would like to get the sanitizer, just not for work.

You might be fine using it at work as it’s def not as strong as the hand cream scent!

I bought two bottles of this hand sanitizer at your recommendation, and I love it! I am really glad you had posted about it when it first launched. Thank you!

I bought a kit from Sephora with the bum bum cream, shower gel and perfume, and it is too strong for me. I knew what it smelled like and I bought it anyway, knowing that I didn’t love it. I think I had FOMO syndrome. LOL
