Too Faced Cinnamon Bear Eye, Cheek, and Lip Makeup Collection is a new, limited edition set that launched with the Too Faced Holiday 2020 Collection. I picked this up a few weeks ago when it originally launched as many people were asking me to review it. Sorry for the delayed review but here I am finally getting to it!

Too Faced has been pretty good with Holiday releases lately. Many of their Holiday launches can be repetitive but the last three years or so they have switched things up and released some very cool items not to mention the quality is very good. For a while there, it felt like they were headed downhill but they picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, and made a valid attempt to launch some cool items. They also slowed down a bit as well and we aren’t seeing a release from them every two seconds.

Too Faced Cinnamon Bear Eye, Cheek, and Lip Makeup Collection is a value set that includes an eye and face palette plus a full-size Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick as well as a very cute makeup bag. The inspiration for the color story is cinnamon gummy hears and the palette is supposed to smell like cinnamon. Cringe I know! Who wants to put cinnamon anything on their face and eyes? The novelty of a cinnamon scented palette sounds amazing but in reality there’s a certain cringe factor to that. But have no fear this smells like absolutely nothing. There is no cinnamon scent at all and I’m not really sure why they are promoting any of it as being cinnamon scented! Even the Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a vanilla cake batter-like fragrance! Nothing cinnamon gummy bear to be had here. I found almost all the reviews to be positive on the quality of this set but many people deducted stars because they were disappointed it didn’t smell like cinnamon! I’m in that batch of people feeling a little let down on the smell but this isn’t really new for Too Faced. Many of their scented releases have been disappointing!

I think that’s probably the only disappointing aspect here as everything else was quite good. First let’s discuss price! This is $36 and includes a full-size Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Cinnamon Bear which is a re-release from a Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick Holiday Set that was launched last year I believe (or could be the year before) as well as a palette that contains 8 eyeshadows that are 0.02 oz each and a blush that’s 0.23 oz as well as a generously sized makeup bag. Typically Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick are $22 (although they do pop up on sale a lot for $10) so that along makes this is a good value. The price isn’t bad at all and if you’re buying it during the Sephora Sales Event it’s an even better deal.

The cute factor is here if you put a lot of importance on packaging. The palette features a cute smiling red hot cinnamon bear on the palette with a slight raise giving it a 3D appearance. The makeup bag is adorable! It’s a jelly-like texture that feels like a gummy bear and is a bold, bright red with a gummy bear print! Even the Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick gets the gummy bear treatment with a cap that has little red bears on it.

I think the set can be a little overwhelming in terms of looks as they do pair a pink blush, red lipstick, and red/cranberry shades of eyeshadow all together. It’s a lot of red to wear in one look! You might want to bring in your own softer lip and blush when wearing these eyeshadows as when paired up with the eyeshadows it can be a little garish wearing all three together.

That being said the color story is beautiful! There are four matte shadows and four velvety shimmers. All have excellent pigment with a very soft, non-powdery formula that applies and blends well. I think red has become a very popular color lately and this palette brings it. The shade Red Hots is a really pretty warm brick red. The palette is bulk made in the USA and does have an avoid getting into eyes warning at the back as well as ingredients that are not FDA approved for eye use like Red Lake. I did experience some staining when wearing these shades but nothing terrible and it did wash away. I do warn people with sensitive eyes to be careful as ingredients like these could cause irritation. I had no such issues personally.

Cinnamon Bear Blush is a very pretty luminous pink shade. The formula is firm but silky and there was no powdery issues when I patted my blush into it. It wears well without fading and applied very easily.

And finally we have the Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Cinnamon Bear which is a gorgeous warm brick red! This is my ideal festive red as I don’t really like traditional blue toned lipstick. This is warm, rich, and bold. The color is gorgeous. The formula is creamy, applies easily, sets to a matte finish that won’t smear off and doesn’t dry lips out. I think the color is a little overkill when paired with the eyeshadows in this set. It’s just a lot of red everywhere if you know what I mean but I’m still quite pleased with the shade and will use it in other Holiday looks!

Too Faced Cinnamon Bear Eye, Cheek, and Lip Makeup Collection is a great value that’s formulated quite nicely. This is a nice gift or a great pick if you like bold, reddish eye looks!

Sephora Too Faced

Too Faced Cinnamon Bear Eye, Cheek, and Lip Makeup Collection is a new, limited edition Holiday 2020 Collection that’s $36. This includes an eyeshadow and blush palette with eight eyeshadows that are 0.02 oz each and a blush that’s 0.23 oz. It also contains a full-size Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Cinnamon Bear and a makeup bag. Sadly, although marketed as having a cinnamon scent I did not detect any fragrance at all in the palette! The Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick did have a vanilla cake batter-like fragrance and flavor. I was impressed with the eyeshadows and blush! There are four matte shades and four velvety shimmers all of which were pigmented and applied and blended well with a soft formula that was silky but not powdery! The eyeshadows do have a avoid eye contact warning due to the fact they have unapproved FDA dyes which did stain but did not cause me any irritation but I do warn sensitive users as these dyes do sometimes present an issue for anyone with sensitive eyes! The blush was firm but it had a silky feel that applied and blended nicely with a long wear that didn’t fade. The Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick was gorgeous as well! It’s a bold, warm brick red that had a creamy texture which set to a long wearing matte finish!

I am so happy you reviewed this set, and I’m super stoked by your red hot look! I heard the palette doesn’t smell for most people. Mine smelled vaguely like cinnamon Jelly Belly beans but I’m the only person I’ve seen that had a scented one. I agree cinnamon is something I want to avoid on my skin (yikes) so I 2as nervous getting it too. I love everything about this set!! The value is so good.
