5 stars out of 5

Bareminerals Kiss of Copper Gen Nude Blonzer Blush + Bronzer ($25) is one of three new blusher bronzer powders that act to give your cheeks the color of a blush and the warmth of a bronzer. I already reviewed the shade Kiss of Rose earlier in the week and that’s probably my favorite shade of the three but as I said in that review these are really nothing to write home about in the pan. The promo images are gorgeous but when you actually see them in person they appear very flat and dull. That is, of course, until you try them! They actually pack a mighty little punch and I’m really enjoying the formula!

As I mentioned above the promotional image give these a 3D, raised design almost as if they’re a baked formula! They’re actually a lot smaller than I thought! I was expecting more of a Laura Geller Baked n Blush formula and compact size. But in reality they’re the same smaller size as the regular Bare Minerals Blush Compacts and hold 0.13 oz of powder. The compact is a simple light gold color and is made of plastic. The powder has a pretty starburst design that’s embedded deeply into the powder which means it doesn’t disappear after your brush is stroked through it a few times.

I also mentioned how the formula looks a bit flat and boring and more subtle compared to the strong vibrant shade in promo images! I think Kiss of Copper is the exception as it does look quite bold and vibrant in the pan! It does still look dry though but it actually has a very velvety texture that’s almost creamy. It’s much, much more metallic compared to the Kiss of Rose shade with a nice radiant glow to it. Kiss of Copper is a very rich coppery orange making it ideal for a warmer skin tone. I was concerned how pigmented and metallic it was as I thought it would be a bit too much on my cheeks! It swatches with the pigment of an eyeshadow which convinced me that it’ll probably work just fine as one should you want to multitask with it. A lighter touch is required when applying this due to how pigmented it is. Use a longer bristled brush and softer bristles and you can get a nice color wash on cheeks with plenty of glow without giving yourself a bad case of clown cheeks! This shade is likely the most pigmented of the three shades.

The formula applies and blends seamlessly onto my face and wears nine hours without fading. It gives my face a nice touch of warm color with a nice glow. I wouldn’t say it’s quite that of a bronzer warmth but there is warmth in this color!

Bareminerals Kiss of Copper Gen Nude Blonzer Blush + Bronzer is a beautiful, strong color that gives cheeks the warmth a bronzer would with the color of a blush and the nice glow of a highlighter!

Where to buy

Sephora Macy’s Bare Minerals

Bare Minerals Kiss of Copper Gen Nude Blonzer Blush + Bronzer ($25) is one of three new shades of blusher bronzer powder that gives cheeks the warmth of a bronzer and the color of a blush. These blushes are priced at $25 for 0.13 oz and come housed in a small blush compact with a clear window that’s light gold in color. The color Kiss of Copper is an warm orange-y copper. This blush had a velvety almost creamy consistency with a strong, radiant metallic finish that wore on my cheeks for nine hours without fading or losing the pretty glow it provided. It wasn’t overly shimmery nor metallic but provided just the right amount of warm radiance.

Pros

  • Very pigmented.
  • Soft, velvety formula.
  • Blends and applies well.
  • Didnt adhere to drier areas.
  • Adds natural warmth, color, and radiance to your cheeks.

Cons

  • Requires a light touch for application as it’s very pigmented!
  • Presented very differently in promo images than what the product actually looks like in reality.

Did you tie your heavy hand behind your back? (JK) Very deft with a light application. Looks very refined and dainty, which I never expected. Totally SFW. Guess my mental picture was a little too Taj Mahal. Pretty lip with it, too.

LOL really I had to struggle hard with this one because damn it’s pigmented. I did a dusting of powder to give it more of a sheerer look but I think that dulled the glow! Thanks! The lip is the new hipdot balms which are amazingggggg!

I think I’m in on the balms. Is there a cosmetics bag with any of the pieces?

        • Isabella Muse

No sadly not! But the vault they have does have a bag! It’s sort of a big giant plastic vinyl bag!

  • Agona

I just don’t see this is as an all-over face bronzer! I also prefer a sheer blush but that’s a personal preference!

    • Isabella Muse

It’s actually not marketed as an all over face bronzer just as a blusher bronzer! Sort of the warm of a bronzer, the color of a blush type of thing 🙂

      • Agona

Ha! I’m definitely a pink blush girl!! Glad the formula is great though. I’ve always been a fan of BE’s formulations!
