Dermablend Lock and Last Water-Resistant Setting Spray Is Killing Me With This Formula

Dermablend Lock and Last Water-Resistant Setting Spray ($26) brings us a new hydrating makeup setting spray for Summer 2021. Dermablend promises this new mist will hydrate skin while sealing in moisture….

Yeah, not so much. I’m so disappointed in this because I’m a huge fan of Insta-Grip Jelly Primer 3-in-1 Multi-Tasking Primer and this is an extension of that product as they promise this provides the same seal and grip as the primer but it contains alcohol and witch hazel. Boooooo! It makes sense as most makeup sprays contain alcohol which is pretty much the mattifying element you’ll get when using one. I personally don’t like setting mists because they make me feel so tight. I try to avoid alcohol in my products as much as possible. The promise of hydration seems a bit iffy when alcohol is involved.

Am I still curious to try it?

Sort of!

You can never tell if it might be good! Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer contains alcohol as well but it’s actually amazing which is why you never can tell about products with alcohol!

Dermablend Lock and Last Water-Resistant Setting Spray is available now at Ulta!

Will you try it?

I’m a big fan of Dermablend as a brand, so I have faith the setting spray will be okay. This may prove me wrong, but I’ve definitely been tempted since it is Dermablend.

I’m a massive fan too! They make very sold products. I’m a little worried about the alcohol but I’ll try it just because they never failed me!
