Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow Singles Are Giving Me Good Fall 2021 Vibes

Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow is a new collection of single shade eyeshadows launching with the Hourglass Fall 2021 Collection and I have to say they are making me shiver in joy! This is a major releases for Hourglass who really hasn’t dabbled in single eyeshadows like this before unless of course, you count Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow (which I don’t).

I have been waiting for the return of single eyeshadows to the makeup world for a very long, long time and I’m relieved to see Hourglass actually taking note of what we all want. I’m tired of palettes and I’d like to just sit down and pick a shade or two that I wanted versus having fifty of them shoved at me in one compact. Not only is this an exciting released but I have hopes more brands will take note and start doing single shades again. I do have my doubts that would happen as I did think we’d see some eyeshadow index movement with COVID and mask mandates but it never really happened which makes me less of a believer we’ll suddenly have a bunch of single eyeshadows launching from different brands come Fall 2021.

But hey, at least Hourglass made this effort and I appreciate it greatly. I also think it’s a long overdue launch for them as they do favor their highlighter palettes and when they have ventured into the world of eyeshadow it’s always been in palette format.

These single shades look like they’ll be available in a variety of finishes and shades. I do hope we’ll get a nice silky formula. Some of the mattes in the promo image look lovely.

Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow is coming soon and you can be the first to know! Click the link below and sign up for the launch date.

And let me know what you think about these and about the potential return of single eyeshadows!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. So excited for single eyeshadows! Its going to have to be amazing for $29 each. Insane prices even for Hourglass.

You kind of expect that price tag w/HG. But, seriously, theres a whole world of indies that offer far more unusual singles. W/indies, you are supporting creative small businesses. Very few HG products get to my next level tier. But Sydney Grace reaches star status on virtually everything I ever bought. Plus, HGs other efforts at e/s have sucked. Aloud. Like the trend, wont touch the product.

Yes! Love the trend, not excited especially about this brand.

Ouch!! $29 each?? Yeah, they WILL have to be utterly amazing for me to koff up that much for each one… If they’re just average, they can keep them for 29 bucks apiece! Will wait to see swatches of them and hear what others think of them before I spend money on ’em.

I’m very excited about this! It’s always such a waste for me to get a palette and then use half of it. If I see one or two shades I like I’ll go ahead and purchase but never use all of the shades in ANY palette.

The mattes look lovely and definitely look like fall colors!

I was palette addicted for a while but yeah, it’s just not choosing the singles you want! 😀

Oooohhhhhh shizzle… those look NICE!!! and I haven’t been tempted by shadow in a long time…. erk…. I feel my resolve not to buy crumbling fast….

And I totes agree about single shadows!! Some days (more often than not anymore..) I just want to do a fast one or two shadow look and move on. I am also tired of palettes, esp. those with eleventy billion shades – I just vapor lock when I see those… I couldn’t possibly decide what to use, and a lot of the shades are ones I wouldn’t use. Bring back the singles, I say!!!

Just want to mention that Hourglass choses to ignore their customers concerns about theyre unreasonably high prices and excluding deeper tones in their products. And for some reason makeup influencers still want to support them.
