Clinique Cheek Pop Pearl ($26.50) is a new selection of Cheek Pop Blush shades that have a luminous finish. I’ve been waiting for this day for eight years because that’s exactly when the original Cheek Pop Blush Collection launched! Eight years ago! And I loved them so hard and for so long but I always wished that Clinique would do a more shimmery finish version!

And here we are, my dream come true, Clinique Cheek Pop Pearl brings the radiant finish I always wanted.

Clinique Cheek Pop Pearl Blush comes in a clear compact featuring 0.12 oz of blush just like the original. It’s fairly basic packaging but has a clean, modern look. As with the original formula these are very dense yet smooth to the touch. I actually struggled with these much to my initial disappointment because whereas the original was very easy to pick up with a blush brush this new shimmer formula wasn’t as quick to do so.

It takes a little work and a denser brush but once you pick up color the fun begins. I recommend a stiffer bristled blush brush for the best results and tap it a few times against the pan to pick up color. I struggled with it a bit but I finally figured out the best technique was tap, tap, tapping to get the color to transfer to my brush. There are six shades available and I got two which were Coral Pop and Ruby Pop. I got them back when they were on sale on Clinique’s website but I was playing with the idea of getting a few more ow that the Sephora Sales Event is on.

The dense texture actually works in my favor as it applies very smoothly with a very seamless finish on my dry cheeks. The color has the most beautiful blend that I’ve ever gotten from a blush but comes as no surprise as the original formula worked much the same way. It gives my cheeks a very natural, healthy flush with a subtle radiance that wasn’t shimmery or too glowy. It was the perfect natural radiance that gave me this healthy glow without being overdone. The color wears for a solid eight to nine hours without fading.

I can’t say these weren’t a tiny bit difficult to work with because I’d be lying but they were worth the work I had to put in as the color looks gorgeous and gives me exactly the healthy, radiant glow I was hoping for.

Where to buy

Sephora

Clinique Cheek Pop Pearl Blush are available in six shades and hold 0.12 oz of blush for $26.50 each. These have the same dense, firm texture as the original Cheek Pop Blush Collection but feature a new, radiant finish. I thought these look incredible on my cheeks. They provide a very soft, radiant glow without being too shimmery or glowy. One major issue was the formula was a lot stiffer compared to the original and I struggled a little picking up color and getting it transferred to my blush brush. I found the method of tapping the blush a few times with a dense blush brush was the best technique to use. The blush applies smoothly, seamlessly, and doesn’t accentuate dryness on my cheeks! It wears for a solid eight to nine hours without fading or losing intensity.

Pros

  • A beautiful, natural glow blush.
  • Beautiful shade range.
  • Wears long.
  • Blends smoothly and seamlessly.

Cons

  • Very firm texture makes it difficult to pick up with a brush.

Who

Fans of the original Clinique Cheek Pop Blush shades absolutely must try the new Pearl ones!

I have been curious about these for a while- thank you for posting such a helpful review! Is there a specific brush you can recommend that works well with these?
