Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Cream with Collagen and Squalane is a new collagen-rich body cream created to visibly boost elasticity and plump up skin for a more hydrated, smoother appearance. Ok, so, we all purchase this stuff because we like the smell right? I mean, don’t get me wrong, Bum Bum Cream actually does smooth and tighten skin but I’m all about the scent! It’s the main obsession for me when purchasing anything Sol De Janeiro. It just SMELLS SO DAMN GOOD!

Beija Flor Elasti-Cream is actually a new scent called Cheirosa 68 fragrance that I’ll take a moment to rant about. I HATE, I hate when Sol de Janeiro releases a new body mist or body cream and it’s an incomplete collection. Damn you! I want to layer! I want a mist, I want shampoo, I want conditioner, I want body cream, and shower gel…! It drives me bonkers I don’t yet have a body cream and shower gel scented like Cheirosa 71! I’ve lost hope that day will ever come.

As of now, Beija Flo is available in a body cream only. Hopefully, at some point, we’ll get a body mist too and maybe some other goodies but I never hold my breath on these things as Sol de Janeiro is willy nilly with their body collection. But I’m throwing it out into the universe and saying I would not mind having more items scented like Beija Flo.

Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Cream with Collagen and Squalane is avaialble in a mini 2.5 oz jar for $22 or the larger 8.4 oz size which I got for $48. I tend to use and abuse my Sol de Janeiro Body Creams which makes the bigger purchases a better deal as I really slather these on. That’s saying something as you know I’m not a huge body lotion girl as I dislike how sticky they can be.

I have sat for far too many hours trying to figure out what the Cheirosa 68 fragrance reminds me of. Because I was 100% positive I have a dupe of this scent around somewhere. It reminded me of something but I can’t place my finger on what that was. It came to me on Saturday morning when I was misting myself with Baccarat Rouge 540. It’s a very low-key, low-calorie version of Baccarat Rouge 540. The notes are in no way the same but I totally get a lighter Baccarat Rouge 540 thing going on here. I paired the two up and even threw it together with Cloud Intense and the regular Cloud and yup, we have a winner friends. They layer beautifully well.

The notes here are pink dragonfruit and lychee with jasmine, hibiscus, sheer vanilla, and sunny musk. Compared to other scents from Sol de Janeiro’s Collection this is possibly the lightest of them all and the least intrusive. It lays very close to the skin. It’s very light and pretty. I intentionally test out Sol de Janeiro body creams on my bare skin to see how the throw is and if they linger. And like all their body creams this one definitely sits well on my skin and leaves a nice scent trail. It isn’t as in your face as some of their scents but it’s there you just need to get a little up close and personal to catch the scent in the air.

As for the formula, it’s just as great as Bum Bum Cream. It’s rich, creamy, quick to absorb, and excellent for dry skin. It not only smooths but also makes skin feels tighter if that makes sense. Skin looks considerably smoother and more hydrated after using it.

Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Cream with Collagen and Squalane is an expensive indulgence but one I’ll willingly make as it’s a fantastic body cream. This isn’t my favorite Sol de Janeiro scent by any means but it’s delightful that’s for sure.

It’s funny, when I smelled this scent during my last Sephora visit, I couldn’t smell anything…zip, zilch, nada. I’m wondering if the tester was bad because I was really looking forward to trying it out and hopefully loving it.

Compared to the other scents they do this is LIGHT! Very light! It’s not in your face at all! But it lingers beautifully! And by the way, long time no see how are you Marina?
