I’ll Buy Sweetener Concealer Even If It Does Look Like Glossier Stretch Concealer

Why am I getting Glossier Stretch Concealer vibes from the new R.E.M. Beauty Sweetener Concealer? R.E.M. Sweetener Concealer ($24) is a new lightweight concealer with a soft, matte finish that can be used all over your face. It promises to conceal and correct imperfections, highlight, brighten, and even contour your face. The formula can is medium but builds up to full coverage and contains hyaluronic acid for smoothing and hydrating.

Sounds dreamy, doesn’t it? It also comes in a rather extensive array of shades. But why is it giving me such Glossier Stretch Concealer vibes? Glossier’s formula is actually quite lovely but also, very sheer so, I really do hope that R.E.M’s formula provides more coverage as I’m not one that enjoys light, sheer coverage when it comes to concealing under my eyes. The more pigmented the better please and thank you!

I’m not really sure how I feel about pot concealer. I swear it just simply never works well for me. I haven’t seen pot concealer in my arsenal since Marc Jacobs Beauty Re(Marc)able Full Cover Concealer and I can’t say I don’t miss it. It can be good don’t get me wrong but I prefer a barrel and a wand! It’s just a lot less messy and easier to control in my opinion!

Can I just say the name is too cute? That probably sold me on the product first…! Ha!

R.E.M. Beauty Sweetener Concealer is available now.

Will you be checking it out?

Total try. It looks like a 3c for me. Glossier always struck me as too oily, though I never saw it irl. Not sure I saw this on Ulta new products page, arrrgh. Ever since trying Saie TM, which looks like Crisco on me, I’ve been leery of that style of TM and concealer. Thanks for the tip.

I am actually very curious about this too. If it is a higher coverage version of the Glossier product I would love that! Does this mean you will be reviewing this soon? That would be great 🙂

Absolutely will review 🙂 I’ll let ya know what I think! If it does provide better coverage than Glossier I’d be very happy!

you say you do not like pot concealer, but have you tried the Flower Beauty Chill Out Smoothing Color Corrector? it is the only thing I have found that helps to camoflage my hereditary under eye dark circles, and I feel like I have tried everything. i don’t even need to use concealer if I do not want to, but you can put concealer over it if need be. It is in a pot, but it is a rather stiff consistency but works like a dream and smooths on easily. CVS sells her line in their stores now, so I don’t even have to order online.
