Trying Ancient Cosmetics Body Scrub For the First Time
I tried Ancient Cosmetics Body Scrub for the first time this week. As you may know, I fell in love with the Ancient Cosmetics Body Oil this month and I pretty much snapped up every single fragrance they had. In my last order, I decided why not try a body scrub too? Don’t get me wrong, I’m obsessed as everyone else on Tiktock with those bloody Tree Hut Body Scrubs but hey, why not support a small business instead?
Yeah, so, Ancient Cosmetics speaks my love language when it comes to creating a good, harsh body scrub. I mean that in the best way possible! These are sugar scrubs created with a mix of cane and brown sugar as well as grape and avocado oils. They sort of remind me of the old Philosophy Body Scrubs I used to love as they have that oily consistency that Philosophy’s used to have.
The combination of the two sugars makes or a really nice scurbby scrub if you get my meaning. These aren’t are soft as Tree Hut scrubs! They have a bit of a grit and density to them and my dry, aligator skin loves that as they really do a great job whisking away dry, ashy, chalky skin! I swear my body glows after using this stuff! My elbows, knees, and the back of my heals are normally my driest areas but I swear all those areas are crazy smooth after using this scrub! Not to mention my body lotions and creams seem to absorb more easier now.
I got the Blueberry Mint Scrub and it smells yummy blueberries! I don’t really get much mint but the blueberry note is sweet and fruity. The scent does linger on skin well after use. Although, the formula is a bit oily I didn’t feel like it made my shower messy or slippery!
All in all, a great little scrub that I will buy more of (actually, they are having a get a free scrub deal right now and I’ve been meaning to pick up more of their Sugar Rush scented items so order number three is on the horizon I guess).
