The Vibrators Have Made Their Way to Ulta

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Ulta is a little late to this game but the vibrators have finally made their way over there. It takes a lot to shock me but when I walked into Walmart and Target one day and saw vibrators lining the shelves with tampons and maxi pads I was a little bewildered. Ok, I see you Miss Vibrator hanging out and giving those self-love vibes.

Sephora started carrying vibrators at the start of the year, making Ulta a little late to the ballgame! And hell, Nordstrom has been carrying them for even longer!

I’ve seen both Target and Walmart carrying them online and in stores. They are visible to anyone that happens upon the feminine hygiene aisle. I have not seen them in Nordstrom, Target, or Sephora stores. Online yes, in stores no.

I actually don’t really know how I feel about this. I’m still on the fence about purchasing makeup and a vibrator in the same store. I just don’t associate vibrators with Sephora and Ulta. I think I’ve gotten used to them being at Walmart and Target (even if that is an interesting conversation to have with your kid if they happen upon them!) but when I’m browsing makeup online dunno if I want to see a big old vibrator pop up as well.

Hmmmm…

It’s like shopping for lipstick at my grocery store. Do you know what I mean?

But hey, if you need a new vibrator you can now get one along with your makeup at ulta.com!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. A vibrator necklace? No matter how hard you clean it, big fat no.Ya wanna advertise that you hold a vibrator so near and dear, that it’s jewelry? Course, I would still be trying to figure out what that blunt nail around her neck was and thinking how dangerous it could be. Then there’s the CBD suppositories for either nether orifice for period care. When I first got it….around the time of the Kennedy assassination… our pads or tampons were wrapped in brown paper and tied with baker’s twine. How nuts is that, since everyone knew what the brown package was. ‘You’ve gone a long way, baby!’

LOL same girl same! I’m not a prude by any means but I just dunno if vibrators belong at Ulta and Sephora! Shrug.

I don’t know if they still do, but I was shocked to see them at QVC and HSN. I fail to see any overlap between toner and adult toys and if I were in the market for such a thing, I would not buy it at Sephora. I don’t think of myself as prudish, though maybe I am but I am just sick of the over saturation of sex into every facet of society.

oh wow the Q and hsn too? I didn’t see that yet interesting! I dunno maybe I’d buy it at Sephora? I guess? It just seems like a case of “which one of these doesn’t belong?” when you’re presented with sex toys at Sephora, Ulta, Target, and Walmart.
