J Cat Sweet Tooth Shadow Palette Bar Got Me Excited

J Cat Sweet Tooth 9 Shadow Palette Bar is a new selection of four different 9-pan eyeshadow palettes that launched recently on the brand’s website. Each palette is inspired by a treat like Peanut Butter, Berries, and even Toffee!

I have to admit I fail to get excited about eyeshadow palettes anymore. I just can’t rave up the excitement I once had when a new eyeshadow palette launched as I’m pretty sure I have every single shade of eyeshadow known to woman and man at this point. I was actually thinking to myself a few days ago how much I’d love to see seasonal color stories return. You know, those beautiful seasonal releases that had a single eyeshadow or two, some blush, lipgloss, lipstick, and perhaps a nail polish. It was just the right amount of makeup you’d need for that particular season. Nowadays we’re bombarded with hundreds of eyeshadow shades all packed into one compact palette. Out of all makeup, I think eyeshadow is one of the biggest selling points for many brands! Brands like Too Faced and Urban Decay rarely focus on core pieces of their collection like launching new blushes or eyeliners but instead serve up fresh, new eyeshadow palettes every minute of everyday. Likewise for Tarte! I feel like Amazonian Clay Blush is a long overdue revamp in the formula, shades, and even finishes (how about a few more shimmers and glow finishes in that blush collection!?). But nope, Tarte just keeps serving up eyeshadow palette after the eyeshadow palette.

That being said, I sort of got excited about these new J Cat Sweet Tooth Shadow Palette Bars. They are actually really cute and only $5.99 each! And the color ranges seemed fairly cohesive! There are four to choose from the first one being Berry Cream 9 Shadow Palette Bar which is a mix of pinks, berries, and greens. Next up we have Coffee Toffee 9 Shadow Palette Bar which is a mix of brassy golds, browns, and blues. After that, we have Peanut Butter 9 Shadow Bar which is a fun mix of oranges, yellows, and browns! This is my favorite one of the four! And finally, Grape Crunch 9 Shadow Palette Bar which is a selection of purples, berries, and browns.

Do I have shades like this in my collection already? Yeah, I probably do but these are pretty tempting and I can see myself purchasing them because 1. they are cute 2. I actually really like the shade ranges on them and 3. they are such a cheap little thrill!

Let me know what you think of the J Cat Sweet Tooth Shadow Palette Bars!

I’m with you, I’ve been skipping over palettes for over a year now. But THESE little gems look promising! I got semi-excited! I’m all over that toffee one. I hope it’s not full of glitter. Thanks for posting!

same! How many palettes can I haul? Even for the blog I’ve been skipping them because I fee like you guys aren’t even interested in listening to me wax poetry and swatch some new palette! But these I got a little excited about. They look quite cute!

I never can figure out how you choose from (or find) the 500 browns that Ryan Reynolds told us about! Loved that one. I think e/s is the gateway drug for a full-blown m/u addiction. E/s palettes have most of us yawning. Been there; done that; little excitement left. But new fans are always coming up to psych up over new palettes. I miss the smaller scale holiday offerings that were well curated and great for the season, too. Remember when an EL blockbuster put you into overdrive and covetous? ColourPop is the most tiring of all. If you look for dupes of a shade on T, there are usually 5 CP dupes. It’s like the European Grand Tour in 2 weeks. Overwhelming.

Oh my. Something interesting for a change! I gave up on palettes awhile ago and have looking for blush. Tarte needs a clue and should update their color range!!seeing too many pale and rosy colors that would disappear on me. I’m medium-brown skin and want something that doesn’t cost $30 and up . Oh well. Merry Christmas and happy shopping !!

Merry Christmas Robin 🙂 Agreed! I’d love to see a revamp of shades! Lots of roses/berries but not a lot of peachy shades! 🙁

Hold up, hold up, hold up. I had these in my cart and I scrolled to see if there was glitter in them. In very fine print under the ingredients there are many colors that say “NOT FOR USE IN THE EYE AREA.” What is going on??? It’s an EYE SHADOW palette?

oh no. that sucks. It’s pretty much across the board lately with a ton of brands! Huda beauty, colourpop, etc…! hell huda beauty was even sued for it!
