5 stars out of 5

Colourpop Fair Enough Super Shock Blush ($10) is a new, limited edition blush that launched with the Colourpop x Disney Snow White. I picked this up recently during a Ulta haul and as tempting as it was too get the whole collection I refrained. I’m sort of proud of myself about that as several years ago a Disney Makeup Collection of any kind would be something I’d have to purchase and hoard away in the beauty vault. But nowadays, I’m really good at just saying no.

But this blush did tempt me as it’s cheap and the shade is quite a unique strawberry pink with little flecks of gold! Definitely something that Snow White would be wearing on her cheeks!

It’s been several years since purchasing my first round of Colourpop Super Shock Blushes and I still think they are an incredibly inexpensive and awesome formula. Their price has gone up a little bit since that time (they used to be $8 and are now $10) but I still stand by the fact they are such a great budget pick and Colourpop definitely sets a standard for budget-friendly makeup.

Colourpop Fair Enough Super Shock Blush is 0.15 oz in size and comes in a blue compact with a silhouette of Snow White decorating the clear lid. I think the outer box is cuter than the compact itself as it has a host of cute little critters around the border of the box!

This formula reminds me of the old Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush as both have a very similar clay-like creamy texture. However, Colourpop has the advantage here as where Dream Bouncy Blush fails in the pigmentation department, Colourpop has plenty of color to add a nice pop to cheeks! Although, creamy in texture it does have a more powder blush dry down once applied and has a nice seamless finish on the cheeks for a smooth, flawless finish. You can use your fingers or a brush to apply. I prefer a fiber brush like Sigma’s F15 as I feel like I have more control over the application and the blend feels easier versus fingers that seem to make things go a bit patchy. The formula is quite long-wearing at around 10 hours for me.

Like most people, I have a lot of these. Colourpop has grabbed me plenty of times with their collections and I’ve accumulated a good deal of Super Shock everything at this point in my life. But Fair Enough was unique enough to warrant a purchase for me. This is a very pretty strawberry coral pink with flecks of gold that is visible on the cheeks. The gold adds a nice little bit of shimmer without looking like a disco ball. I wish my photo showed that off a bit better. I’d recommend a light touch during application as the shade is very pigmented. The color wears very long on me without fading and it applies flawlessly but as I said, I really need to use a light hand when working with this as it’s easy to overdo it.

I have plenty of blushes to get through at the moment but I don’t regret my purchase of Colourpop Fair Enough Super Shock Blush. It’s unique enough to warrant a purchase and will make a lovely Spring blush (it’ll look great in the Winter too for that just in from the cold look).

Where to buy

Colourpop Ulta

Colourpop Fair Enough Super Shock Blush ($10) is a new, limited edition strawberry pink blush with gold shimmer. This gorgeous blush has a clay-like texture that applies like a cream but sets to a powder finish. It wore for ten hours straight and had a seamless, smooth finish but a light touch is required during application as it packs some serious pigmentation!

Pros

  • Super affordable.
  • Unique shade.
  • Cute packaging.
  • Wears long.

Cons

  • A light touch is required otherwise it gives a bad case of clown cheeks.
  • Limited edition.
