Pupa Delicious Cake Caramel Cake Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Pupa Delicious Cake Caramel Cake Eyeshadow Palette ($22) is one of two new scented eyeshadow quads that launched back in February that I quite randomly picked up when I was having a “I need retail therapy” moment. I honestly, thought these were a bit pricey at the time (they were $19 but have since risen to $22) and still feel that way as you may know from reading my prior review of the Pupa Delicious Cake Cherry Chocolate Cake Eyeshadow Palette.
But I gotta say the Pupa Delicious Cake Caramel Cake Eyeshadow Palette caught me off unaware. I probably have every single one of the shades in this quad bit somehow, someway it’s become a favorite quad of mine and I found myself wearing it for a week straight! A WEEK! I mean, people, come on! I have enough eyeshadow palettes and single shades to last me this lifetime and the next, and the one after that, and the one after that one, and the one after that…! Wearing an eyeshadow quad or palette for a week straight is unheard of! But this was such a joy to apply, to blend, and it just made my big brown eyes look super sultry that I found myself reaching for it a lot. And hell, there’s even a tiny dent in two of the shades. I’m proud of those dents!
This palette comes housed in a brown compact with a generously sized mirror and four eyeshadows inside. No applicator is included and the total size is 0.25 oz. As I said above I paid $19 for it but they changed the price to $22.

This palette contains two different finishes across the four shades. You’ll get two matte shades and two softer metallic-like shades. The shades are pretty standard nudes that you likely have across a lot of your Too Faced Eyeshadow Palettes. There’s a soft matte bone, a darker bark brown matte, a coppery brown, and a light orange-y copper. These shades are very smooth and firm to the touch but aren’t chalky, dry nor powdery. Although firm, I can easily pick color up with my brush plus I don’t get a ton of powdery kick up! THe palette smells lighlly of chocolate but the scent is really hard to detect unless you stick your nose right in the pan.

These colors are outstanding. They looked airbrushed on. They don’t fade and wear incredibly strong with no creasing. They give my eyes this really smoky, sultry look! I just thought they blended out so well without going muddy or turning into one shade! I felt rather accomplished using this palette as most times using shades like this together I end up blending it all out into one shade but this palette just had a knack for coming together so well and transitioning smoothly from one shade to the next.

You probably honestly don’t need the Pupa Delicious Cake Caramel Cake Eyeshadow Palette because the shades are so repetitive but I gotta say I loved this one and I’m super glad I grabbed it. Although, I do wish it was cheaper!
Where to buy
Pupa Delicious Cake Caramel Cake Eyeshadow Palette is a fairly new quad that launched back in February that contains two matte and two metallic eyeshadow shades and is supposed to be scented like chocolate. I say “supposed” because it really is a weak scent. This palette is quite expensive at $22 but is generously sized holding 0.25 oz of eyeshadow. It’s also, very repetitive if you already own a lot of different nude eyeshadow palettes! That being said, I still loved it. These shadows are firm but they apply and blend flawlessly. I felt very impressed with the way I could blend these out without them going muddy! I was able to get great contrast and transition from each shade to create a killer eye look! All in all, well worth my money!
- Amazing application! Blends out perfectly.
- Great shades that really work well together.
- Shades are pretty repetitive if you own a lot of nude eyeshadow palettes.
- Expensive for four shades.
I think anyone who struggles blending nude eyeshadows might just love the Pupa Delicious Cake Caramel Cake Eyeshadow Palette. It’s actually quite easy to blend and transition with these shades so you don’t end up with a muddy look!
