I totally change my mind about Pat Mcgrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Powder now that I have the banana shade in my possession! I picked up the shade Pat Mcgrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Powder and it took me some time but I finally mastered the application and even wrote a how-to guide to apply it! It took me a bit of time but it worked out. Because let me tell you those first several tries weren’t good. This stuff just aged my eyes horribly and creased badly.

You still need a good deal of prepping and priming with this stuff but the Banana shade works so MUCH better for me than the Medium one. I have no idea why but it just does. I normally set with a Banana shade anyway! I personally love the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Bake, Brighten & Set Loose Finishing Powder but my other HG is Ben Nye’s Banana Powder.

When I originally purchased the Medium shade the Banana one wasn’t available. It was introduced a bit down the line because I’d have totally purchased that way before Medium since I find yellow is more suitable to set my concealer, brighten the area under my eyes, and seems to work best with my skin tone. Just like the medium shade the banana shade has a soft, silky, finely milled consistency that produces a lot of powdery kick up. I make sure to apply a hydrating serum followed by an eye cream before I use any concealer under my dry eyes. I’ll start with L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid + Caffeine Hydrating Eye Serum or Clinique Moisture Surge Eye 96-Hour Hydro Filler Concentrate and follow with a good moisturizing eye cream like Youth To The PeopleDream Eye Cream with Vitamin C and Ceramides.

I dunno what it is but this seemed to work a bit better for me than medium. I use a tiny bit that I apply with a Bobbi Brown blending brush I have. I’ll apply my eye serum and eye cream first and give it a second to settle into my skin before applying my concealer and following up with a very small amount of the powder to set and brighten the area under my eyes. I love this shade! It looks incredibly natural but brightening and it sets my concealer for all-day wear without settling into my finer lines. I dunno what it is but this shade seems a lot better for me than Medium which looked ghastly. That shade settled into my finer lines and aged eyes horribly. My little technique above definitely helps but I dunno, I think the Banana is much, much easier to work with!

If you set with powder I urge you to try this one! It’s wonderful!

Pat Mcgrath Banana Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Powder gets a Muse Approval!
