Tarte Maracuja Juicy Shift are a new pH-Powered Plumping Gloss-Balms releasing in nine shades for Summer 2023. These will be $24 and are the third formula variation in Tarte’s popular Maracuja Juicy Collection. Tarte’s Maracuja Juicy Gloss Balms are amazing. AMAZING. The plumping formula, the original formula, doesn’t matter which one you’re into or maybe you’re into both! Either way, they are all AMAZING. This formula rocks and Tarte knows it rocks so why not ride the gravy train for as long as they can? If it makes money, keep on releasing variations of the same formula as they know we’ll buy it.

But of course, I’m the killjoy. As much as I LOVE the original formula (and the plumping one) I don’t think I need nine different pH color changing lip balms. Ya know? There some amazingly fun shades in this launch that give me an 80s neon vibe. The shade Clementine is a gorgeous neon tangerine, the shade Blueberry reminds me of a Freezer Pop I’d eat as a kid on a hot day, the shade Kiwi is just hello hecka gorgeous. I mean, no one is denying these are cute shades! Are they going to make your lips blue, green, or tangerine? No.

Tarte readily admits all the shades will shift to a “similar pinky pop”. So, really, don’t get overzealous and buy every single shade because you love this formula. The shades will all look the same. I’ll buy one happily but may I say that I wish they actually made shades like Clementine as a pretty tangerine tint? I think that would be gorgeous! These have the same great formula as the original with hyaluronic acid to give lips a plumper look as well as a glass-like finish and they are vegan and cruelty-free.

Oh and P.S. If they decide to do an eyeshadow palette with some of these shades I could be tempted! Just sayin’!

Tarte Maracuja Juicy Shift will be available shortly. Do you think you’ll grab a shade?

These definitely call out my name. I’ll probably choose the light blue , purple or black if they all turn a same shade of pink. Really gives me the 90s nostalgia vibes.

I bought the set of 3 on QVC. It has Rose, Big Ego, and Honeysuckle. I will say that Rose and Big Ego go on differently, with Rose being lighter and Big Ego more of a pop. But after a few minutes, they both turned a bright, blue-based pink. The stain lasted a long time. Very flattering on my complexion. I don’t know what they’d do on someone else. The pink it turned on me would not necessarily look good on everyone. Still experimenting with Honeysuckle; it goes on much darker and warmer – a reddish berry!
