Here’s All The Awesome Things In My Shower at the Moment
There is something so very uplifting about taking a cool, refreshing shower after a day at work with the promise of a lovely evening out on a warm Summer’s night. One of my greatest pleasures in life lately is getting home from work, hoping in the shower, and just indulging in a little self care before getting ready to either go out for dinner or to sit on the deck by the pool and enjoying a little BBQ with my boyfriend. It just feels good to wash away the stress of the day. We all deserve moments like that. A little me time to restore our energy and peace of mind.
I try really hard to keep my shower purchases to a minimum lately because lord knows I went through my “pokemon stage of gotta catch them all Philosophy Shower Gel era” a few years ago. Sometimes you gotta just know when to say no to a new shower gel. But also, I still do over indulge in bathing, shower, and haircare products because I feel like they are smaller purchases that spoil me in a big way.
Here’s a few awesome things in my shower in the moment I think you’ll love too.
Briogeo Detox and Repair Mask Set
One of my favorites when I really want to deeply cleanse and conditioner my hair. This set contains a Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo along with a Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask and the two together are a dynamic duo for a deep cleanse that removes buildup while providing a rich, deep hydrating conditioner. I actually got this on sale from Sephora during the Holidays but I’m on my second set and I gotta say it’s a great value as it’s almost a BOGO offer you’re getting as the set is $57 but has a retail of over $80 bucks!
It’s A 10 Silk Express Miracle Silk Conditioner
This is the only reason I’ll ever wear a shower cap in my life. This stuff is beautiful, just beautiful. I use it maybe two or three times a week just to get my hair all light and fluffy. I shampoo as normal, rinse, and ring some water out of my hair. I apply a generous later of this and comb it through in the shower at which point I pop a shower cap on and do my other shower-ly duties (I leave it maybe 5 minutes but sometimes 10 if I have time). This makes my hair so fluffy and soft. Loves it!
Brown Sugar Babe Caked Up Hydrating Sugar Scrub
If you wanna smell like thee ultimate snack you absolutely need this scrub (and the body and the perfume oil). Brown Sugar Babe is my latest addiction! Their scents are to die for but Caked Up is my favorite. It’s the ultimate vanilla cupcake scent. It’s sexy, it’s sweet, it’s cake-y, it’s delicious! The scrub is a staple in my shower! DO not hesitate! Indulge in this!
Tree Hut Peach Sorbet Scrub Speaking of body scrubs my Summer must have is this peach ring scented scrub from Tree Hut! Sweet, candied peach yes, please! A perfect Summer shower staple!
Tweak’d by Nature Supersize Volumizing Scrub & Conditioner
If you’re a Sol de Janeiro fan girl you MUST BUY the Tweak’d by Nature Supersize Volumizing Scrub & Conditioner. It’s a bit of in indulgence but not only is this beautiful to my hair but the Wild Apricot scent smells just like Bum Bum Cream!
Trader Joe’s Brazil Nut Body Wash
Speaking of Bum Bum Cream….! You DO need to go to Trader Joe’s and haul the new Brazil Nut Body Wash! Yes, it smells a lot like Bum Bum Cream and yes, it’s perfect for Summer. Totally a staple in my Summer showers! P.S. Get the Body Butter and Scrub too while you’re there.
Kristen Ess Frizz Management Cleansing Co-Wash
Curly, wavy hair? Frizz? Dry? Shedding? If you said yes to any and all you need Kristen Ess’s Cleansing Co-Wash! This is an absolute holy grail staple for me. It not only prevents me from shedding like a cat but it keeps my hair soft, frizz-free, and perfect! It’s my “I’m having a good hair” EVERYDAY product of choice.
Sweet Clementine Soaps
If you haven’t tried Sweet Clemetine’s Body Lotion you are truly missing out. This is a lovely, soft, non-sticky, hydrating lotion that abosrbs quickly and leaves skin smelling amazing. My favorite is the Vanilla Brulee and Cocoa Butter scents are wonderful! P.S. love their body wash too!
Tree Hut Tropic Glow Bare Moisturizing Shave Oil
If you need a close and hydrating shave Tree Hut’s shaving oil is the way to go! And hey, that Tropic Glow one will remind you a bit of Sol de Janeiro!
Scuba Toothbrush
Yeah, I do wash my teeth in the shower. It’s a dude thing to do and I’m sorry but I do it and I do it with my big old toothbrush! Gotta love the Scuba Toothbrush!
BODY by TPH Baby Buff’d Body Scrub & Brightening Polish with Glycolic Acid
If you LOVED the body oil please, please, please add the scrub to your stash. This is the sexiest scent ever and it lasts beautfully on skin well after your shower is over not to mention it pairs so wonderfully with the body oil. It’s one of the loveliest scrubs I’ve used. Soft yet very exfoliating and the scent my god the scent…! A shower must have!
