5 stars out of 5

Sometimes in life you gotta splurge especially when it comes to good skincare. Do I like paying the big bucks for Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover? Nope, not at all! Do I like how it removes all my eye makeup easily? Yes, I love that. So, yeah, that’s a total splurge for me.

I’m honestly not a big fan of spending $52 on Hourglass Equilibrium Rebalancing Cream Cleanser but god, the love affair I have with this facial cleanser not to mention the chokehold it has on me. I’m a little frugal so I always end up purchasing the smaller 0.91 oz tube for $25. It some twisted, nonsensical, illogical way this makes me feel a little bit better about not spending $52 on my facial cleanser.

Hourglass Equilibrium Rebalancing Cream Cleanser is probably one of the very few facial foaming cleansers that actually doesn’t dry my skin out or make me feel tight and ugh after washing with it. It’s part of my second cleanse and has been for a while. I’m having a hard time just saying no to it.

This is fairly basic cleanser that rebalances the skin and leaves it smooth, soft, and makeup-free. I love foaming cleansers but they don’t love me. They tend to strip my skin and leave my skin feeling two sizes too small. This is one of the very few that creates a thick, rich lather that removes all traces of makeup (or any residue makeup if I’m using it in a double cleanse) without stripping my skin, drying it out, or making it feel tight.

It’s a thicker cream with a very light citrus fragrance. It apparently contains Amino Lipids that act to accelerate natural cell turnover and replenish moisture. Personally, I’m just here for the fact my skin feels smooth after I use it and not dry or tight. It’s a wonderful, basic cleanser for me and makes a double cleanse easy for my dry skin.

Is it expensive? Hells yes. The price is absurd. But I’m willing to dish out for something that works so well. Do you need it? I’d like to think those with drier skin can appreciate this one. Just do what I do go with the smaller size. You won’t feel as guilty when you use it 😉
