5 stars out of 5

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Lip Gloss Balm ($22) is a new high-shine gloss balm that hydrates lips with a mix of hyaluronic acid, kakadu plum, and raspberry extract. This launched several weeks ago and I snatched it up in a Mystery Set that Glow Recipe did to introduce it. At the time, they were just teasing the release and the set I purchased included the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer and Hydrating Serum both of which are holy grail skincare items for me!

It’s an incredible product and well deserving of a purchase if you like glossy lip looks, love lip balm, or just have drier lips. This is pretty much my new favorite in the lip balm world.

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Lip Gloss Balm is 0.52 oz in size and $22. It comes in a tiny purple-pink jar that looks like a miniature version of the moisturizer. I don’t love the fact it didn’t come with a spatula. That would have been nice to include. Granted, I have tons of them floating around but I wouldn’t mind another one included with my purchase! If Laneige can do it, Glow Recipe shouldn’t have a problem doing it too right?

Yes, the jar isn’t travel-friendly. This is going to be a deal breaker for some people maybe. It’s not for me. I wouldn’t leave it hanging out in a hot car in your purse as it will melt but I realize the main issue is, “Oh my god it’s so hard to apply on the go!” Not for me! I just carry around a small spatula in my makeup bag, scoop a bit out, and I’m good to go. I honestly prefer using it this way anyway even if my hands are clean because it’s a very thick consistency and easier to scoop out with a spatula versus using your fingers.

Although, super thick in texture it melts beautifully once it hits your lips. It has the consistency of Vaseline but is a tiny touch firmer. Once you apply it to lips it melts down, thins out, and creates a beautiful glossy cocoon around the lips that provides long-wear and long-term moisture. I’d say I can get about 4 hours out of this. It doesn’t move and it manages to retain a lot of its shine through the wear not to mention it keeps my lips super smooth and well hydrated. It’s not sticky or tacky but it is a bit heavier so, you can feel it on your lips but not in a comfortable way. I wear it alone for moisture and shine and sometimes I’ll apply it on top of my favorite lipstick for moisture and shine. They did mention it has a raspberry flavor but I didn’t detect that at all.

I love it. I will absolutely re-buy it when I run out. I’m gonna Muse Approve this one!
