Ariana Grande Cloud Pink Review
Ariana Grande Cloud Pink Perfume is the latest Cloud to join Ariana’s growing Fragrance Collection. This is one of three Cloud Perfumes that Ariana has done and includes yummy pink pineapple and dragon fruit berry notes making it a fruiter version of the original Cloud and Cloud 2.0. When this was originally teased I expected it to smell like a cross between Tom Ford Lost Cherry and Baccarat Rouge 540. It does not. The original Cloud smells like Baccarat Rouge 540 and Cloud 2.0 Intense smells like Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait. I just assumed that Ariana might hop on board with the viral trend of contacting BR540 with Tom Ford Lost Cherry. But she did not.
Ariana Grande Cloud Pink arrives in pink bottle with a pink cloud topper. The perfume comes with a white rubber cloud stand which holds up the bottle. All the Clouds have the same style stand. I personally don’t like them. I find them bulky and I feel like they get a little sticky if you handle them too much. Thankfully the bottle does stand on its own but it looks a bit plain without the little cloud base.
I got the 3.4 oz bottle which set me back $68. I really do debate with myself back and fourth if that’s expensive or not and more of me leans towards saying yes, it is. Near $70 for a celeb fragrance feels pretty hefty. I do really love this scent but I’d like to see it priced at around $50ish.
These notes are wildly different than the original two yet Cloud Pink still smells very similar to them. If I had to choose I’d say it smells most like Cloud Intense 2.0 and not as soft as the original Cloud. The main difference between the three is Cloud Pink is a smidge fruitier on the initial mist when the top dragon berry and pink pineapple notes come out. But the base notes are the most dominant with praline and amber swirling into a Baccarat Rouge 540-like cloud. I’ve always called Baccarat Rouge 540 a naughty cotton candy-like scent and that’s what I get from Pink Cloud. It’s this fluffy, warm, cozy grown up cotton candy fragrance. It’s sugary amber that’s rich and warming on my skin with a little spiciness. In the end, there’s a whole lot of BR540 to be had here and I don’t hate that because 1. it’s an affordable way to enjoy BR540 and 2. it’s a very interesting take on the fragrance as it isn’t a complete dupe but has a lot of the same DNA.
Now for the REAL difference between these three…! Drum roll please!
I mentioned that I love these fragrances right? I adore them! I think they smell beautiful. However, they have no lasting power at all. Both the original and Cloud Intense don’t last on me at all. I can go through an entire bottle in one go and the scent just sticks around for an hour or two. That’s where Cloud Pink is vastly different. Cloud Pink is strong! She lasts very, very nicely on my skin! I’ll put her on in the AM and she’s still going strong at the end of a work day! This one lingers and creates quite a nice scent bubble! I’m impressed.
Ariana Grande Cloud Pink was a win for me. I’d totally recommend purchasing this one. It’s a beautiful fragrance! Just don’t ask me to play favorites and ask me which one I like best because I simply wouldn’t be able to decide.
