Olay Super Serum Is Doing the Most But with Fragrance and Mica

The new Olay Super Serum ($34.99) is a new powerhouse peptide serum that includes Niacinamide, Latic Acid, Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Pro-Vitamin B5, and more. I just want you to know that back in high school and my early years of college I was an Olay Total Effects kind of girl. I had no idea what I was doing back then (and still don’t on some levels haha!) but yeah, that was my moisturizer of choice. I wonder if it’s why I don’t look my age now. What do you think?

But seriously, Olay Super Serum sounds great and the reviews are raving and I trust none of them (sorry not sorry) so, this is one I’ll have to try for myself. Sadly, the formula also includes fragrance (and Mica but why though? Well, technically it looks more like a pearl finish but still….) which may or may not be a deal breaker for some folks! The older I get the less I appreciate fragrance in my skincare. But we might want to over look it for some of these ingredients.

Niacinamide is the new super star of the moment and helps to brighten skin as well as Vitamin C. Lactic Acid is a nice way to gently exfoliate skin. And Hyaluronic Acid tops it all off my plumping and smoothing. There’s definitely stuff here to rejoice over but I’m not sure how much of it is actually in this serum. Guess we’ll have to try this out for ourselves. This is the second product from Olay that released recently that has me intrigued! They also, have a new Slugging Mask!

Olay Super Serum is available now at Target. Will you be trying it out?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. They should disclose whether the mica is ethically sourced, but of course they won’t…

This sounds pretty good to me because I’m pretty lazy. I would love to just slap on one serum then sunscreen and go. Seriously, I’m just tired from *waves hand at everything*. I appreciate things that are easy and quick.

Fragrance is such a huge No No in skincare products. Fragrance can sensitize skin, cause irritation and can help breakdown collagen. Too bad Olay included fragrance in this otherwise pretty nice formula. I was ready to buy it until I saw it contained fragrance
