Pat Mcgrath is teasing us with the new Bijoux Brilliance Holiday 2023 Collection but is it? After Mother teased us with a golden vault open I thought for sure we’d see an interesting assortment of festive sparkly golds for the Holiday season! Yesterday she also posted an image of a pink palette featuring a bow and I thought for sure she was also teasing us with a possible Pat Mcgrath x Bridgerton III Collection. But today the vault has opened and let out the Pat Mcgrath MTHRSHP Bijoux Brilliance Palette in two shades and it’s NOT Bridgerton related as I originally thought. It’s also not gold! And it’s also the first time we’re seeing Pat Mcgrath do a palette featuring not only eyeshadow but blush too! Available in Starstruck Splendor and Jeweled Temptation each MTHRSHP Bijoux Brilliance Palette contains nine eyeshadows in matte and metallic finishes as well as two blushes for $76 each. The collection is a bit uneventful for me. I thought Starstruck Splendor had more of a Spring pastel thing going on and Jeweled Temptation is very pretty but not sure I absolutely need it. I was surprised there aren’t any new lipsticks, lipglosses, or even sets of the two in this launch! Maybe those will come later. I did notice some of blushes are re-promoted and I feel like some of the eyeshadows sound familiar as well! I’m not saying all of them are re-promoted but some might be. I have to look through my stash to see which are new and which are older.

Excitement turned to disappointment. The only palette that I am “slightly” interested in is the 5 pan with the teal eyeshadow, but I looked at it again, and decided I can live without it. Is there a new law that states all palettes must include warm brown shadow? If Pat would have put the teal and green shadows in one palette, I would have snatched that up in a second.

likewise. Perhaps the jeweled one for me but the rest aren’t really my thing. Also, I need to see if there are repromotes because I see a few names that sound familiar! It sort of feels a bit Spring-y overall though and not the Holiday release I was expecting 🙁

  • Alli A

Devastated to announce I will be picking up jeweled temptation. I swore off pat mcgrath blushes after swatching my blush collection and realizing I picked up two sets with the exact same shades (because they are my jam) but these blushes look like a slightly different version of what i have several times over- and those eyeshadows. Love!

    Please. Someone talk me down.

LOL talk me down too because I do have my eye on that as well! But I may wait! Don’t jump too soon, I really doubt they’ll sell out 😀
