Scooby Doo x Wet n Wild Puppy Power Cream Blush ($6.98) is a new, limited-edition cream blush that launched in two shades with the Scooby Doo x Wet n Wild Makeup Collection recently. I picked up the shade It’s Paw-ty Time which is a vibrant orange peach. The packaging reminds me of the old Lorac Blush Stamps and the newer Kaja Cheeky Stamps!

I remember been incredibly impressed back in 2009 when Lorac released their Cheek Stamps because the packaging as so unique but nowadays it’s a little more common. The blush comes in a little pot with a screw top which unscrews into two parts. The first part is a soft sponge applicator attached to the top of the pot and below it is a cream blush located in the bottom portion of the pot. The sponge top has a bit of a spring mechanism that allows you to dab it into the blush pot! And of course, since this is a Scooby Doo Collection it features a cute little paw print on the sponge and little bones and paw prints that decorate the pot. It actually has a mirror as well on the outside of the pot which has a very cute pic of Scooby on it but that’s a sticker which you can either leave on (I did) or remove. I do wish the Scooby image was printed on the mirror but I understand it’s supposed to be a functionable mirror and having Scooby there hinders that! The blush is 0.10 oz in size and $6.98 per shade.

To use the blush you simply dab the sponge into the blush and “stamp” it onto your cheek bones. You can’t really blend it out with the sponge in my opinion. It’s a bit easier to just place some on your cheeks and blend with fingertips. If the sponge applicator doesn’t appeal to you the option of either dipping a finger into the blush or even a smaller brush is available as well.

The blush has a soft, silky and matte cream to powder finish during application. It has a thin consistency and immediately application it sets to a soft, powdery finish that didn’t cling to my drier areas and provided smooth coverage. It applies fairly sheer and natural on the first pass but you can go way more vibrant by applying more should you like. I do think it sets fairly fast which means you have to work fast to blend it out. I’m not a HUGE cream blush fan but I do wish it worked a little more like a cream and allowed me more time to blend out before it settled. I felt like I was blending powder on my cheeks without having a lot of control. It looks very nice once you get it on but the blending process is a bit of a pain. It wears quite long. Creams are typically short wearing for me but since to his a cream-to-powder formula I get a solid seven hours from it without fading. The color is a pretty bold shade of orange but it has a little bit of peach to it. I thought it looked pretty on my cheeks and had a certain warmth.

Scooby Doo x Wet n Wild Puppy Power Cream Blush isn’t the best cream blush I ever tried in my life but it isn’t the worst either. It’s a fun little budget pick up and a of course, Scooby being involved might just tip you into the buying zone.

Scooby Doo x Wet n Wild Puppy Power Cream Blush is available now at Amazon and Walmart and should be coming soon to Ulta.

Scooby Doo x Wet n Wild Puppy Power Cream Blush in It’s Paw-ty Time is one of two new limited-edition cream-to-powder blushes that launched with the Scooby Doo Makeup Collection. This little blush is $6.98 and 0.10 oz in size. It comes in a little pot that unscrews to reveal the blush within the pot and an attached sponge applicator on the other side. You can simply press the blush into the blush for easy application (or you can use a finger and dab it on or a small brush to pick it up from the pot). This is a cream-to-powder formula that has a soft, silky, matte finish. It sets very, very quickly and goes from thinner cream to soft powder without seconds of application. You really have to work fast to get the best application since it dries down so quickly. It gives a very nice pretty flush of warm orange-y peach on cheeks that wears for around seven hours!

Pros

  • Cute packaging!
  • Travel-friendly for easy touch ups!
  • Can be applied sheer or easily built up for vibrant, bolder looks!
  • Affordable.

Cons

  • Sets very fast making for challenging application.

I bought the other shade (purple) because that was the only one I saw at the Walmart I was shopping. It is very disappointing. I love cream blush but this one was not good.

I also bought the brown lippie, which is pretty good, and the sponge, which I haven’t tried yet.

I think it looks good once applied but it can be a little tricky to get it into place. I skipped the purple bc I can’t really wear that shade! I gotta try the lippies didn’t get them!
