L’Oreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer ($15.99) is a new concealer that was released for Spring 2024 and it features a lightweight, crease-resistant formula infused with 1.5% hyaluronic acid plus caffeine to hydrate the delicate skin under the eyes and depuff it as it covers darkness and fine lines. Let me have my Keith Lee moment, “I got it, I tried it, let’s rate it 1 through 10”! I love a Keith Lee moment and since he was in New York recently let’s honor him in this review. As a self-proclaimed concealer junkie, I immediately purchased L’Oeal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer when I saw it pop up! I wasn’t ready to wait for a sale and immediately purchased a shade for review and because I love a new concealer moment. And this one intrigued me considering its major claim of containing 1.5% hyaluronic acid plus caffeine. Sounds like they are trying to capture the L’Oreal Revitalift Derm Intensives 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid + 1% Caffeine Eye Serum in this formula. Do they succeed? Not quite but they do provide us with the most amazing applicator.

Just a heads up I dunno if Age Perfect Radiant Concealer is being discontinued and being replaced with True Match Radiant Serum Concealer. I can tell you they have very different formulas in my experience using both. The Age Perfect Radiant Concealer is creamier and more hydrating whereas the new True Match Radiant Serum is semi-matte and thinner with less coverage. I think this deserves mentioning as if you do want to stock up on Age Perfect now seems a good time to do so since a lot of places have it on sale.

L’Oreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer is 0.33 oz in size and $15.99. The most unique thing about this concealer is the incredible applicator. We’ve seen quite a few interesting applicators lately from concealers like the Dominique Cosmetics Wide Awake Full Cover Concealer which has a cooling metal applicator and Covergirl Simply Ageless Triple Action Concealer which doesn’t even have an applicator! It’s just a long stick you use to dot product under your eyes! True Match Radiant Serum Concealer has an angled triangle flat sponge applicator that makes application simple and flawless. It just glides under your eyes like melted butter. The applicator is genius! Simply genius! Well done, L’Oreal! I got the shade C4 and it was a blind buy online. It’s a little too dark! I’d like something a bit lighter with a peachier undertone but it isn’t terrible. There are 20 shades to choose from so hopefully I can find a little bit of a better match.

I like this formula a lot but I do not love this formula. Their promise of crease-free wear is true. I have finer lines under my eyes and this doesn’t creep into them at all. It oddly lays on top of the lines under my eyes and creates a smooth surface. Very interesting. I’m not quite in love with the finish and feel of the product. It’s very thin, and has a serum-like consistency, yet has a slippery semi-matte feel to it. It’s almost like applying a light silicone primer under my eyes. That sort of slippery feel you get from a ‘cone primer if it makes sense. It does blend very easily with very little effort as well. If you want full coverage this isn’t your girl sadly. I’d say you can probably get almost medium coverage out of this but it won’t hide major dark circles. It will fill finer lines and create a smoother appearance under the eyes, brightens the area nicely, and conceals minor puffiness (I have doubts it’ll eliminate my puffiness even if it does caffeine which is a well-known ingredient for treating such issues). But major dark circles might want to take their business elsewhere. This wore under my eyes quite nicely without creasing, caking, or fading for a solid seven hours. It does have a semi-matte finish that felt a bit dry to me. I prepped super well with eye cream before I applied it due to this. I can’t say if I saw any depuffing due to the caffeine. I don’t feel like that worked for me! And I’m not sure about the 1.5% hyaluronic acid claim! I get better plumping action when using a serum that contains HA versus a concealer. So, that aspect of the concealer didn’t work for me.

L’Oreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer will make a nice natural makeup look concealer for days I don’t want heavier coverage and perhaps prefer more natural makeup! This is an interesting formula with a very unique applicator.

Amazon Ulta

L’Oreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer is a new twenty shade concealer launch that’s available in twenty shades selections for Spring 2024. It’s priced at $15.99 and 0.33 oz in size. This formula contains caffeine that acts to depuff and has 1.5% hyaluronic acid infused into the formula to smooth, plump, and draw moisture to your skin. I can’t say either of these were features that worked for me as my eyes were still puffy after use and the skin under my eyes didn’t feel any more hydrated or plumped (I think it’s best to leave eye serums and creams to do that for you). This formula has a semi-matte finish that I did think was a bit drying but as I said it didn’t crease due to that dryness and it did blend very easily for me. It provides an interesting smooth coverage that seems like it fills lines and creates a smooth look under the eyes. It’s not quite pigmented to conceal major dark circles though and provides a more natural sheerer coverage. It wears for around seven hours under my drier eyes and I think it should play nicely if you have more oily skin as well.

Pros

  • Smooths and fills finer lines.
  • Unique applicator that works to apply concealer flawlessly.
  • Doesn’t crease nor cake under eyes.

Cons

  • Odd texture that feels silicone-like.

Who

L’Oreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer is a great pick for aging eyes with finger lines as this formula had no issues with creasing.

I bought this immediately after you first posted about it and like you, I like it but don’t love it. I may try a darker shade as I think I went too light and there is no coverage. I am finding that i LOVE it as an eye primer before I put shadow on!

ha! glad we’re in the same boat. Def a like but not a love! This formula is interesting but I think it’s lacking the creaminess I like in a concealer! Interesting! I need to try that!

I’ve been thinking about giving this a try since I first saw it on Ulta. I keep hearing it doesn’t crease or look cakey so I’m intrigued.

it really does not go anyway! It’s interesting in that aspect. I’m just a little torn on the texture. I wish it was a bit creamier!
