So, yes, I did purchase the Morphe X Ariel Signature Look 12-Piece Face & Eye Brush Set, and no, I didn’t need it. I have enough brushes to last me for the rest of my life, and I hope to have the next one. I don’t need another makeup brush or makeup brush set. I stopped purchasing Holiday Makeup Brush Sets a long time ago because, as great a deal as they were, I didn’t need any more brushes in my life, but Morphe recently caught my eye with this set, and I’m ever so glad I indulged because I love it. However, I will say that one particular brush stood out for me in the set: the Morphe X Ariel A14 Signature Precision Setting Brush. I recently lost my Bobbi Brown Dual-Ended Concealer and Setting Brush, and I’ve been feverishly looking for it everywhere (I think I left it at an Air BNB), but it hasn’t turned up. Thankfully, the Morphe X Ariel A14 Signature Precision Setting Brush was hanging out in this set, and I decided now was a good time to see how it set my concealer.

If you have $12 bucks lying around, I’d say splurge on this brush. It’s fabulous! It’s a win for drier skin ladies and lads. This is a long-handled blending brush. It has floppier, soft, fluffy bristles, which make it ideal for use with powders. The fluffy rounded tip is ideal for getting in harder-to-reach areas like under the eyes, down the sides of the nose, and even cheek bones or the bow of your lips.

I use it to set my concealer. I have drier skin and, of course, a dry under-eye area, so applying large amounts of powder under my eyes is not a good idea. However, I do like to sweep a small amount of Hard Candy Sheer Envy Bake, Brighten & Set Loose Finishing Powder under my eyes to not only brighten the area up but also to set my concealer for all-day wear. This brush is ideal for doing just that. It picks up the right amount of powder and sweeps it smoothly under my eyes so it doesn’t crease or cake up. It’s even great for removing a bit of the excess shine around the sides of my nose. I could even use it on my cheekbones for a highlighter applicator, but I like it for blending just a touch of powder under my eyes to set my concealer. It’s fantastic for just that reason!

If you have drier skin and can’t wear powder under your eyes or on your face, this blending brush is the perfect size for touching up areas around your face with powder without ever overdoing it. It also washes quite well and retains the shape of the bristles without splitting.

An absolute gem of a brush! The Morphe X Ariel A14 Signature Precision Setting Brush is available now!
